A lot of destruction has already been caused and they don't want to cause it further. Lycan King taps his shoes on the floor, waiting for his mate to step down and bring her to his house so he can finally claim her. He could have done the same thing back at his house in the afternoon, but he didn't because he wanted to take her with him in front of her parents to show her that she now has no one to look to except him and that now she has no nowhere to run.

Lycan walked slowly across the cold wooden floorboards, dropping to his knees beside the bed. He was the Wolf King. He commanded a continent of lethal shifters, possessed a treasury that could buy entire nations, and ruled from a fortress of impenetrable stone and iron. If he wanted to, he could wrap Amy in the finest silks in the world, crown her in diamonds, and force the entire inner citadel to their knees before her. But that wasn't what she wanted.

Oh no. My worst fears became a reality when my father led me directly to where the Lycan King stood with a group of his advisors. My blood turned cold with every step we took closer to them. The king was a tall, muscular man with piercing eyes and a cruel smile that sent shivers down my spine. Lycans were ruthless and cruel, and Alpha Xander was no different. He had no love or compassion for anyone, and he ruled with an iron fist. People didn’t like talking about him, as they made bringing him up be almost like blasphemy.

She flipped through pages until she found what she was looking for. The Lycan King. King Daemon Blackthorn, Alpha of the Royal Pack, ruler of all territories. His word was law among werewolves, his power unmatched. If any Alpha could offer her protection without fear of reprisal from Mason, it would be him. But the Lycan King was notoriously difficult to reach. His pack was in the northern mountains, hundreds of miles away. He rarely involved himself in pack politics unless absolutely necessary. And why would he care about one Luna's problems?

The blade dug deeper into my skin, and I felt warm blood trickle down my neck. A low growl rumbled from Ronan’s chest, and the rogues glanced at each other with unease. “Now kneel,” the rogue leader ordered, but my husband didn't move, and he cautiously started to approach. “I said kneel, or I'll kill her!” he growled. Ronan would never kneel, he is the lycan king, and kings don't bow to anyone. It's either he'd let them kill me or tear them all apart, but he did something I didn't expect.

I am always listening.” he winked. “So, what are you going to do about Lily, Queen Maria?” “What?” I rasped.

He doesn't need your approval! "I will send you to Eclipse Castle. The Lycan King is fond of you after watching your match. You will leave there as long as he wants," he uttered. "There's no guarantee that you will be coming back here…alive." My eyes widened when he mentioned the Lycan King who personified arrogance, virility and power. Everyone was afraid of him. In his prime years, he killed thousand Alphas. It was a miracle that he was the one who offered a truce but of course, all of us were still at his mercy.

I insisted. "Are you certain you want to know?" he questioned. "Yes," I affirmed with a nod. I felt the air grow heavy around me, my chest tightening with each passing second. With a deep breath, he raised his chin, his gaze piercing mine with unwavering intensity. "I am Lycan King Xavier Styles, the Lycan King of the Silver Pack." My heart seemed to stop as his words hung in the air, sinking into my consciousness like heavy stones. He's... the Lycan King?!

He was the High King of Lenerum, a Lycan berserker like his father before him. The old king had been feared throughout her village. No one spoke his name, afraid to summon his shade from the abyss. There were whispers that the Lycan King had to put down his father. The old king was so gone in madness that he had ripped the head of a visiting dignitary clean from his shoulders.

"Why are they so against this? Some of them are just wolves as well, so why won't they allow me to be their Queen?" Carolina shook her head slowly. "That's the thing, Hailey. Lycans are special so they believe they are the only ones allowed to be their King and Queen. Anything else is a disgrace to the kingdom they believe in. They don't think normal wolves are strong enough to rule. It's an old ancient belief that hasn't been abolished and if you and Hunter never fix this, it might go on for another hundred years." Oh my god. This was so awful. Just then, the door was kicked down and both Carolina and I squealed in shock, but recovered when we saw that it was just Hunter.
