their commander announced and the soldiers did step back before leaving the place. "Come on, Marcellus. Let's get moving before they would change their mind and seize us again," she suggested but Marcellus couldn't take a step forward to the woods. "We can pass through the woods, trust me," she whispered. After minutes of persuading Marcellus, they finally entered the Geopiterra woods. The thick mist and the uncanny sound of the wind, slapping the trees welcomed them. Vivienne looked in the sky, hoping to see the moon but the tall trees are preventing it from casting its light. Not even a faint moonlight can be seen in the forest, everything is pitch black and misty.

“If it weren’t for you, Iris wouldn’t have chosen someone else! You scheming wolf, do you think you deserve to be my Luna?” To make it worse, and to sever any ties between them, he spat a secret that could destroy her, “Look at yourself. You're a worthless, low-blood Omega. You don’t even deserve to shine my shoes, yet you dare dream of being my mate?” The words “low-blood” exploded through the crowd like thunder. Everyone turned on Fawn with contempt. Their looks cut like blades. Her face went deathly white. Under the whispers and pointing fingers, she lost it.

Even back downtown, Lunaris was a fantasy, the kind of place people dreamed of making enough money just to glimpse. The ad shifted. And then his face appeared.

My palm turned clammy but I managed a wobbly smile. “Good morning.” I greeted the room. They responded stiffly and my mother nodded to Agatha, dismissing her with the flick of her finger. Agatha was reluctant to leave as shown in the few seconds she her fingers lingered on my wheelchair. “Since we're all here, I think I'll dive right into it.” Marcus spoke up. His voice was deep and monotonous and he stared down his nose at me. I dug my nails into my palms, my breaths coming in short puffs. Ever since the incident, being under scrutiny always made me feel small and useless.
