The Richest Man in Metropolis is My Backer!

The Richest Man in Metropolis is My Backer!

"Mr. Kenway… When my family and I attended your mother's birthday party, I had a lovely conversation with her. She kept telling me how much she hopes that you—" "Have you been so overwhelmed lately that you're misremembering things, Mrs. Kennedy? I don't recall you ever being so close with my mother, but I do remember you and your daughter being a significant embarrassment to yourselves." Soren exposed Sally's lie without hesitation. The Kennedys' expressions shifted in shock as they turned to Sally. "What does he mean, Sally? Didn't you say Mrs. Kenway adores Edith and was even considering—" "Oh! You must have misheard me!" Sally quickly denied it. "I was talking about another Mrs. Kenway,

Divorced by the Billionaire Who still owns me

Divorced by the Billionaire Who still owns me

My voice remained steady. “I’m facing consequences for what I did to her.” For the first time in years, I heard my mother lose words. She recovered quickly. People like Marianne Blackwood always did. “You’re making a mistake.” I looked through the window at the reporters… the cameras, the damage that had already been done. Maybe. But some mistakes were worth making. “I already made the mistake.” Then I ended the call. The silence afterward felt strangely satisfying. Across the room, Elara glanced up briefly; our eyes met. She didn’t ask who it was. She already knew.

My Royal Kidnapper

My Royal Kidnapper

“Good. Anyway, have you watched the news?” I shook my head. From the glass window, I watched the fastest growing and well-developed city as far as my sight would go. “I don’t wanna hear or know about it.” “Well, just saw you know. They made a statement this morning.” “Mom, please?” I bit back my tears. “Honey, listen to me, Kennedy.” It was Dad. “You need to know that they’ve already found that woman in those pictures. Someone knew about your booking. They made a huge mistake because you can’t be in two different places at the same time.”

Hidden Mistakes

Hidden Mistakes

I defended, knowing it wasn’t entirely true. “I’ve made a background research on you Miss Mia Cruise and I know for a fact that this office is like your secret lair, you still mourn the puppy you lost to a tragic accident three years ago even more than your late father and you are a huge fan of De Brans bar and go there every weekend to get drunk,” he said and caught his breath right on time. I gave him a puzzled look which slowly turned into a wicked smirk. “I’m sure this is an invalid case in the court of law,” I said, resting my head on my jaw.

Shattered vows: Revenge of an ex bride

Shattered vows: Revenge of an ex bride

"Damn it, Elara—" "No." She held up her hand. "I should’ve known better. I should’ve known that the man I kissed on the rooftop was a lie— a fake— he was just another version of the businessman standing in front of me now. But that’s on me. I won’t make that mistake again.” "You’re making a mistake by leaving right now." he said, his voice as controlled as he could muster. Elara gave a dry, humorless laugh. "No, Killian. Trusting you was the mistake."

Marriage of Deception

Marriage of Deception

She was thinking about her reputation, which she had already ruined with her own hand, and didn’t wish to go far from that. Mrs. Kennedy was a complicated human being, perhaps a lot worse than my father, who just straight up made the mistake without feeling any shame about it. Jamie Astor didn’t hide his mistake, nor did he accept it. After causing a stir, he would always protest when people talked about him as if the entire world was his enemy, but Mrs. Kennedy was different in that area. She accepted her error but wasn’t ready to tell the person who was most affected by it. She was crying here, probably on her deathbed, for her past and the trouble she caused, but still wouldn’t say a thin

Billionaire's Forced Bride: Dear Wife, You Can't Escape

Memories of the missed errands and forgotten promises weighed heavily on her heart, casting a shadow over her perceived innocence. "And let's not forget about your own actions," Avery pressed on, her words a stark reminder of Eleanor's culpability in the unfolding drama. "You drank too much, Eleanor. Kayden was the one who had to search for you and bring you back to the room." Though Avery's words stung with truth, Eleanor found solace in the unwavering support of her friend. Together, they navigated the murky waters of guilt and forgiveness, seeking a path forward amidst the wreckage of shattered trust and bruised egos.

News Flash, Ex-husband, I'm Alive!

News Flash, Ex-husband, I'm Alive!

She looked at the bruised skin of her own cheek in the reflection of her phone screen, then down at the dead woman. "You see, Kennedy?" she teased, her voice dripping with mocking cruelty. "You were afraid of a corpse. You let a socialite in a power suit make you wet your pants because you couldn't tell the difference between a dead girl and a living one. You really are pathetic." Kennedy started to laugh, a dry, hacking sound. "I was wrong. I was actually wrong. Ian’s wife just happens to look like her. It’s a miracle. A beautiful, perfect miracle."

Sorry Ex: You're Out Of My League

Sorry Ex: You're Out Of My League

"Isn't that the whole point of this argument?" "Then you got it wrong. You didn't commit any wrong. A person should own up to their actions and mistakes. Don't you think so, Mr. Anderson?" Elise tilted her head to one side, smiling charmingly. A strange sense of familiarity hit Kayden. That was his sentence! He remembered that he had said that to someone before. Who was it? He can't seem to remember. He could only nod his head, going along with it because he didn't want to contradict himself. Once he does, Elise would have another reason to bash and laugh at him.

Alpha's Regret: His Betrayed Luna

Alpha's Regret: His Betrayed Luna

I huff in frustration and reload the gun slowly. “Again?” Kennedy frowns, “Ella, do you not think you're being a little too extra today?” “Wouldn’t you be?” I toss her a look over my shoulder, one eyebrow raised. “If the man you were supposed to marry kept running back to his ex after so much work?” Kennedy laughs, her stare is cold. “Girl, please. I’d have pushed her down a staircase, right onto crashed glass by now.”

This book is impeccable. It's realistic and relatable from the characterization to the plot. The only fault is that the plot is been dragged. I applaud the author because he not only replies every review and comment but also takes them into consideration

This is a book I hate to love. Thalia & Knox drive me insane & yet I keep coming back for more. Mariella is completely awful & unredeemable. When the truth comes out, I doubt anyone will be left unscathed. I hope I can handle it. It’s tough at the beginning, just hang in there.
