I could taste the smell of his rotten teeth. “My name is Kellen Moon, Alpha of the New Moon Pack, and King of the werewolves. There has been a mistake.” I had tried several times to get these men to listen to me. Each time I was met with laughter, made fun of, they jeered at my title. “I’m a king! Look at me! Not so high and mighty now eh? ” the fat stale smelling one mocked in a childlike taunt, his feet kicking my legs from under me.

His attention caught me and started to charge towards me. “Let’s test what kind of powers Pops gave me!” I said into my mind as I also charged against the raging monster. -end of the chapter-

******************* Princess Kaylan was reading a book in her room when her maid showed up and informed her the King had summoned her. All the blood in her veins dried up immediately. "Do you know why?" She asked nervously, her book still in her hand. "I'm sorry I don't, my Princess. Princess Cara wa actually the one who'd informed me about it on my way to the laundry" the maid answered with a polite bow and Cara stood up immediately. Oh! She's always been so scared of the King and never wanted to do anything that'd make her stay alone in the room with him. The King was a nice man, yes. But the stories she's heard about him were just too aweful. How mighty he was in battle, strong, fierce, h

Declan muttered while his head was still lowered. “Wait, so you’re saying you’re a—” Rayna said with rounded eyes. I nodded before she could finish her sentence. “Su-Anateph means ‘Your Majesty’ in dragon tongue, Rayna, and yes, I am the King of the Dragons, although I prefer not to be called one,” I explained. From my periphery, Kelan rose and neared me. “Your mate here is too humble to accept his status as our ruler, Your Highness,” he said just as he playfully threw an arm over my shoulder.

“Mister! Do you know where the Dragon King’s castle is?” Simba asked with a serious face. His cheeks puffed up and his eyes determined. Micah found him very amusing and he crouched in front of him before asking. “Dragon King? Is there a thing like that?” Micah asked. “There is, he is ugly and green...his breath stinks and he had cavities in his teeth.” Simba took out a piece of paper from his pocket and gave it to him.

He's trying to control himself but I see he's annoyed. "Well. Anniin to you too dear friend. Care to acknowledge me?" I say pretending to be mad. "NanaBooZhoo, Ziigwan. You're older!" He laughs. "You're huge. Shut up." I blush, rolling my eyes. "You know, no one calls me Ogi. Just you." He states. "Why? That is not you name? Ogimaa? Ah? Right?" I ask teasing him. "No. It's not, besides everyone calls me King. You know that. Only my grandma calls me Myeengun and the Elders too."

I give Marcus his gift after the cake. It is a book. Old. The cover worn smooth at the corners. Inside, the history of King Alaric's reign — edited carefully, the dangerous parts removed, the good parts kept. The stories of what the Lycan kingdom looked like when someone led it with both strength and care. Festivals. Alliances. The way ordinary wolves lived under a king who remembered he was one of them. Marcus holds it with both hands. Looks at the cover. Looks at me. "Is this a real king?" he asks.

I am Kingsley the Monkey, and once she becomes my queen…] I couldn’t help but twitch a little at his unabashed theatrics. That little monkey had zero subtlety. I stepped on the accelerator and headed toward the monkey hill, where I announced, “From today onward, Kingsley the Monkey’s banana ration will be cut in half.” Kingsley the Monkey: [No!] The sun set low and painted the sky a beautiful color. I steered the tram along the winding path, enjoying the peaceful evening breeze. The egrets flew, the elephants played, the monkeys leapt, and somewhere in the cold wind a tiger walked steady and proud.
