There is no free meal available. I got a gist of how the book works, the reader moves onto the next page once they have understood 100% of that page.

I replied dryly and waved at the waitress who rushed over to our table shortly after we stepped into the restaurant. "So, tell me. This step brother guy, is he cute?" She teased and batted her eyelashes at me.

“That’s why I said act normal. I gave you the golden retriever boyfriend manual, didn’t I?” I rolled my eyes and rubbed the back of my neck. “Yes. The goddamn manual,” I muttered. That stupid, cheesy thing. A whole printed booklet, stapled and everything, with highlighted passages and little cartoon sketches of how to smile ‘non-creepily’ and the top ten phrases to sound safe. Greg had handed it to me like it was a Bible for blending in with humans. “Smile like you don’t want to devour her,” he’d said. “Give her space. No sniffing.”
