Dylan states. Before I could respond, a few of the team came over, jumping on Dylan, telling him they needed to get to practice and stop flirting with me. I look down, not wanting them to see my face turn bright red. Dylan gives me a look telling me that this conversion is not over. I head off to my next class. -Three Months Later-

"We have three days." "Yes, Eloise."

Elisia answered. Thane frowned when she heard 'the third of the third month.' He turned to face her again which made Elisia frightened. There it was again. The feeling that something dark was hidden inside Thane. "I didn't die on that day. I died on the fourth, and it didn't happen in 2039. I died two years ago. That means you didn't just turn back on the day your boyfriend died. You turned back way beyond that. You're really in serious trouble." Thane commented.

"Y-Yeah... why?" "Maybe there are clues in the notes. Is it still with you?" "I threw it away," she said, then switched the T.V. channel. She doesn't like late night shows anymore. More dramas and nonsense shows. "Oh," her friend said regretfully. "Keep the notes next time. You know... maybe one of these days he might introduce himself in a note." "His name is Third. That's always on the note, eh." "So, do you know anyone who has the same name?"

When I completed Quinn’s discharge procedures, Ronnie helped us book flights to the south. The day before leaving the city, at the far end of a hospital corridor, I saw Dorian one last time. He knelt beside his paralyzed mother’s bed, gaunt and hollow-eyed, like a walking corpse. We met each other’s gaze across the crowd. His lips moved slightly, as if he wanted to say something. Nevertheless, I didn’t stop. Holding Quinn, I turned and walked into the sunlight without looking back. All the love and hatred, the blood and betrayal were left behind with that flight.

The moment I opened the door back home and saw Olivia, the weight in my chest finally settled. Olivia's eyes lit up instantly. She trotted toward me and wrapped her arms around mine. "Mommy, what brings you home so early?" I wrapped my arms around Olivia, stroking her soft hair. According to the Dezarae from three years in the future, Olivia would fall from a building in three hours' time. Just to be safe, I had to bring Olivia around with me the whole time. "Liv, come to work with me today, okay? I'll buy a strawberry cake for you."

They were beautiful, vibrating with the intensity of his powerful, unreadable emotions. It was disarming. Powerful. Almost as much as his next words. “You are mine to protect,” his tone was firm, final. “I promised I’d keep you safe, but then this…” He inhaled sharply. “These last three days were hell.” “Connor,” I gargled, turning my head to the side, unable to meet his gaze as guilt washed over me in waves. “I’m so sorry I…I know you must be so mad at me right now but…”

Just three more days Then it’s over And if it’s not Then we run again But this time Together I looked at him This boy Who was supposed to be a stranger Now he was the only person between me and everything bad Okay I said Three days He smiled Small Real Good Now go inside Sleep I’ll watch the road That night I slept in the bed Nico slept on the floor Ray slept in the chair with his gun No one came No cars No knocks Just the sound of the wind At 3am I woke up To Nico sitting by the window Watching Gun in his lap You okay I whispered Yeah he said Go back to sleep I can’t Come here then I got out of bed Sat on the floor next to him We didn’t talk Just sat Watching the dark Three days he said We
