Twenty - four. 24. "What should we do to the body? " Dalton asked sounding frightened. "What do you think we should do? " Anne asked. "Do you think we should dump it or…? " "Dumping his body is going to leak us out, burning him up isn't a good idea. We are going to melt him off his bones with this acid before burning up his bones. " Anne said pointing to some gallons of acid in the corners of the room. Her face wasn't visible but I could tell anywhere that it was her voice.

Jake said, throwing his hands up in frustration, and walked out, leaving Fiona and Dione behind. As they kept arguing and yelling, Maya tossed and turned on the cold, hard floor as she struggled to hold back the sobs that almost broke free. “Don’t let them know you’re awake, Maya. You can do this.” She slowly began to untie her hands and her legs with the last strength she had when she noticed the screen that showed her best friend’s entire house. The tears warmed her face when she also realized she had no pants on anymore and her clothes looked torn. “He fucking touched me! They raped me!” she sobbed silently but continued to untie herself.

Clearly, I am in a nightmare, and it is all because of that stinking movie. Shaking my head, I take a deep breath and decide that I am going to walk out of the bathroom and wake myself up before this dream has a bad ending and I end up dead. However, once I open the door, a sudden gust of wind hits me, and I fly backwards as the tornado rips through the apartment building, and everything is decimated in its path. A few days later, I wake up and feel so much better till I look around and realize that I am lying in the bathtub of the apartment and my foot has been severed.

He didn’t need to pretend to be all alpha male and laugh at my adrenaline kicking in. The movie had ended and we had been lazily talking for a while but my eyelids were growing heavy and I could feel that sleep was talking over. I moved my head off of Niklaus’ chest and onto one of the plush pillows, I felt Niklaus turn into my back and he draped one of his arms over my side and I drifted off into a peaceful sleep.

Just before the movie begins, a knock on the door sounds and I sigh, climbing from my comfortable seat to see who it is showing up. “Hey. I – uh – heard there was a movie night.” Narin sheepishly says as I open the door. I chuckle and step aside, inviting my Beta to join us which he happily accepts. With everyone finally settled and Narin comfortably sitting on the floor with Cassandra, movie night commences.

Susan chimed in, "And we made sure to save some for you, Zayn." After helping themselves to a few freshly baked cookies and cupcakes, the trio adjourned to the house's cozy movie theater. They decided on a suspenseful ghost movie to complement their treats. Luna sat between Zayn and Susan, her anticipation building as the lights dimmed. The movie played on the large screen, and they lost themselves in its eerie world. But while Luna, Zayn, and Susan were engrossed in their movie night, back in Mary's room, a different drama was unfolding. Natalie, driven to frustration by her daughter's continuous crying and refusal to eat, felt a deepening sense of helplessness.

Rhea said with a smile. "Alright. I'll be the one to thank you on my brother's behalf. Be careful," Diana said with a smile. "Nice meeting you again." Rhea shook hands with Don Vandolf and Diana. "Yvette, stand up there. We have to go," she said. "Mama, shouldn't we wait for the highlight of the night?" Yvette asked with a frown. Rhea shook her head. "Get up. Let's go." While Rhea and Yvette were walking away, Don Vandolf was waiting for the next scene to appear on the screen. There’s still an intermission number from Asia's Songbird. She sang again.

The remaining Martial Servants tensed up, looking at the enemies with horror. 'Who are these people? They can decapitate one of us just by raising their hand!' Then, they saw the thin, almost transparent blade in Nightingale's hand. She didn't decapitate one of them just by raising her hand. She just moved too quickly for them to follow. She had superhuman speed. Nightingale patted Gabriel's cheek. "You're Gabriel Solomon?" The stupefied Gabriel nearly nodded. His Martial Servants sensed great danger coming. They shouted, "Run, Mr. Gabriel! They're trying to kill you!"

I crawled into bed and wrapped my arm around Daphnie's waist, pulling her close. When I was about to drift off into sleep, Nightingale began to cry. "I'll get her," Daphnie said as she crawled out of my arms and walked out of the room. I sighed and decided to help Daphnie; I hadn't spent time with Nightingale. When I got to her room, Daphnie cradled Nightingale in her arms, singing softly. I stood behind Daphnie and wrapped my arms around her waist. A smile made its way to my face as I looked down at Nightingale; she smiled with her bright green eyes.

Tancorix strained her eyes to the north side of the valley and spotted a few fireflies in the night, something she wondered if the Romans could see as well. The Romans had spread out their numbers to the south, though, digging in for a fight. A few pickets walked out in the bright light of the moon, spears up, scanning the plain. They pointed their spears at the three females, but could do little as they were so far away. Ragala made an obscene gesture with her left hand, but Weaver swiped at her in the air as if she could strike her down. The girl frowned, bit her lip and let her chin drop.
