Mage of Wolves

Mage of Wolves

“She wanted me to deliver a message to you and Mrs. Flamingo.” At the mention of her, Mrs. Flamingo came barreling out the door, her face so bright red, she looked like an angry, red tropical bird. “What are you doing here, Harlow Nightingale?” she demanded. It was only then that she realized I’d fixed her house. She turned around and stared at it for a few seconds, as if she were inspecting it to make sure that I didn’t leave even the smallest speck of blue on the paint. I hadn’t, though I’d thought about it.

Satagalli
Very enjoyable. It's great that it's more of a polyamory than a man harem like a lot of recent books are. The characters personalities are well defined and do not stray or muddle into a bunch with the same attitude.
Christy Scott
I love this book and think the author is very talented. my only concern is the cost of reading the book is around 100 dollars. I wish it was broken up into two or even three books but it is worth the time if you want to spend that much on 1 book.

Nanny For The Alpha's Lost Twins

Nanny For The Alpha's Lost Twins

“Then there sounded from the window, suddenly, the most lovely song. It was the little live Nightingale, that sat outside on a spray. It had heard of the Emperor’s sad plight and had come to sing to him of comfort and hope. And as it sung the specters grew paler and paler; the blood ran quicker and more quickly through the Emperor’s weak limbs, and even Death listened, and said, ‘Go on, little Nightingale, go on!’ “‘But will you give me that splendid golden sword? Will you give me that rich banner? Will you give me the Emperor’s crown?’ “And Death gave up each of these treasures for a song. And the Nightingale sang on and on; and it sung of the quiet Churchyard where the white roses grow, wh

Nightingale

Nurses holding files while many receptionists answered calls which just didn’t seem to stop. She walked in hesitantly thinking her decision through. No matter how nervous she might be, she had to do it. After all, it was her career. She chose to save people’s lives. Inhaling deeply, she walked over to the reception with newfound confidence. She rested her hands on the desk and waited for one of them to end their calls. As soon as one of the ladies hung up on the telephone, she jumped in, “I’m new here. My name is Ayra Nightingale Rivera. I’m here for my internship.” She said all together without a pause.

Beyond Night

Beyond Night

Tancorix strained her eyes to the north side of the valley and spotted a few fireflies in the night, something she wondered if the Romans could see as well. The Romans had spread out their numbers to the south, though, digging in for a fight. A few pickets walked out in the bright light of the moon, spears up, scanning the plain. They pointed their spears at the three females, but could do little as they were so far away. Ragala made an obscene gesture with her left hand, but Weaver swiped at her in the air as if she could strike her down. The girl frowned, bit her lip and let her chin drop.

That Night

That Night

My voice caught, and I dreaded him walking away. “Did I earn your phone number?” he asked. I smiled at him and patted his chest. “And a blow job,” I said before rattling off my number. He leaned forward and pressed his lips to mine with soft, languid kisses, savoring each second of connection. “I had a wonderful evening, Natasha.” “So did I.” The cab driver yelled out, asking if we were ready. Reluctantly we pulled apart. “Jenna, get that ankle looked at as soon as you can,” Richard said.

THE NIGHT WILL TELL

THE NIGHT WILL TELL

I ask for the second time. MYSTERIOUS OLD LADY: Why does it matter to you, do you also want to kill me like you killed that old man? (She whispers into my ears and I tremble) I'm still lying in the darkness and I can feel her breath all over me. I feel like she's encircling my bed and whispering into my ear whenever she gets close to it. I can feel the continuous motion around me. I'm still, and I can't move my body.

ONE NIGHT TO BURN

ONE NIGHT TO BURN

My reflection looked like a stranger's eyes faded, lips pressed tight. And then, almost without noticing, I whispered to the glass, to the city, to myself: “Just one night of freedom. That’s all I need.” As the city lights shimmered, a dangerous thought took root in Ava’s heartone that would fire everything that followed. *One night to run, one night to burn.*

One Night, No Names

Clara It’s deep into the night when I jolt awake, my chest rising and falling with sharp, rapid breaths. Sweat clings to my skin, my heart hammering like a drumbeat in the dark. The nightmare fades in fragments, flashes of shadows, a voice I couldn't quite place, the overwhelming feeling of being chased. I sit up slowly, the bedsheet twisted around my legs, and take a moment to ground myself The soft glow of the moon filters through the curtains, casting long, pale shapes across the room.
