she whispered darkly, glaring at her. "Quit That Nonsense in your mind Mina! Not Even is like you!" Theo said when he heard her thoughts. Mina face went red. She had almost forgotten about the mindlink. "Next.. is the OBSTACLE COURSE which includes: Massive swinging logs thrashed back and forth, Jagged climbs, A rope bridge, A sprint across narrow beams, And the final challenge—a long, swinging rope meant to carry them across a pit. “OBSTACLE TEST—BEGIN!” Liam said

I have never been to the floor before and I didn’t know who to meet. Looking at the far end of the room, I saw the machine and was so happy I didn’t have to ask anyone, I started working towards it but right before I could get to it, I was stopped by a woman. She looked me up and done and furrowed her brows, she had really long black hair and gray eyes. I waited for her to say why she obstructed my part but she just stood there looking at me. Clearing my throat, I said, “good morning.”

It was the first of many obstacles that stood between me and my goal. “This is fun,” I muttered, my heart racing with excitement as I dodged arrows, silver knives and jumped through barriers made from silver. The obstacles made the short distance from the door to the sword seem like a great distance and when my hand touched the sword, I was prepared to pick it up and leave but I may have overestimated my strength. It was like a rock and it did not budge as I pulled at it. ‘What qualifications do you have to possess the goddess’ gift?’ It was a voice that resounded around the dark and dusty room. A voice like calm waters getting ready for a huge wave.

Silence. Olivia’s perfectly polished nails quivered as she took in my expression. One assistant blinked so hard her eyelids fluttered, and the other swallowed so loud I heard it. Silence snapped into place. “Is this what we’re doing now?” I said coldly. “Watching half-naked men during billable hours?” No one spoke. I looked at the screen. And everything inside me froze. It wasn’t shock. It wasn’t heartbreak. It was that dangerous kind of stillness when your brain catches up, but your heart’s too stunned to move.

The one who actually listens when I bleed. The line rings once. Twice. Three times. "Marcella?" Obed’s voice barks through the speaker, low and gravelly, background noise of heavy machinery humming behind him. "I am in the middle of a border run. What is it?" I squeeze my eyes shut, forcing a tear out so it tracks hot down my cheek. I let out a loud, wet sob right into the microphone. "Obed," I choke out, my voice high and small, the perfect picture of a broken little sister. "You have to help me. I have no one else."

GABRIEL P. O. V With eyes full of deep sorrow, I took Grace's stiff body into my arms. On the way to the forbidden forest, I wade through countless obstacles. But I didn't look back; I only fixed my mind on one goal. The journey was long, like hell on earth. A strong gust of wind brought dry leaves to the ground. The sound of the wind rubbing against the surrounding objects was thunderous. Like the sound of crying that penetrated my heart.

So instead of fighting it or telling it off, I responded to its command. "All obstacle courses have the maximum time to finish in five minutes. Your goal is to finish all the courses lower than the maximum time. Any of you will fail the test, you'll receive the punishment." I answer here. Maybe I thought I wasn't listening earlier, I heard it over and over again.

—- BACK TO THE PRESENT Marcel stood on her path, Alora felt something drag her down. She fell to the ground and she whimpered in pain though she didn’t let that stop her. She growled and snarled at Marcel, she moved her legs and tried to get up though her legs were wobbly she staggered multiple times while Marcel stood watching her struggle. Snow struggled with her human side to let go but something trapped them both. Snow growled in pain and hallowed and just like the birds fled so did the invisible chain break off, Snow stood on her four legs and ran after Marcel.

"Alright, sir, I guess we have to say it as it is. Well, we discovered that, contrary to what we told you earlier, your journey to our mother’s heart might not be smooth sailing after all. There are big obstacles on the way.” “Really?” I asked, raising my eyebrows. Even though I could already tell. “Yeah.” They responded in unison. “And the predominant obstacle I would want you to address first is Obstacle Carter.” Owen continued with a smile. “Obstacle. Car…oh, you mean Mr. Carter?" I pointed it out insightfully. “Yes, and you need to do it fast; my mom is just like her daughter Isabella.” Nathan took over, glancing at Isabella, who made a playful mocking face, sticking out her tongue to hi

Step by step, I made my way across the treacherous bridge, each plank creaking beneath my feet.
