It was an unsettling thought. It reminded me of a paragraph I read from one of the lycan books I’d found back at my old pack. The title of the book was, ‘the original lycans’. It was dated back to the first family of lycans, the first ones that were turned, the original pureblood lycan families. The author had said something about their true potential never really being mastered. I didn’t really understand what he meant then, since I’d just read it because I was bored and not necessarily to gain insight on the most notorious species of all time.

“As you wish. We have dealt with rogue vampires before. It’s always the same: they come to test us. To see how secure our territory is. After that, more follow. That’s how territory shifts begin. “But you see, they never get away with it. Ours is the oldest strongest and coven in this land. No one kills here and gets away with it. “So I ask again: who sent you? When do they plan to invade?” Territory? Invasions? Caitlin couldn’t understand how she was not dreaming. Maybe she had been slipped some sort of drug. Maybe Jonah had slipped her something. But she didn’t drink. And she never did drugs. She was not dreaming. This was real. Too awfully, incredibly real.

I moved around and I started with the book titled; "The original werewolves." This sounded like a great story, so I picked it up and began to consume it. Days rolled into weeks and I moved from books to books. Gradually, I was reading a lot of historical books and I was getting fascinated by what I am seeing. Little did I know that I have little idea of what we are and the creatures around us.

Adam's POV After learning the truth about myself twelve hours ago, I spent the night talking with my parents, then my wolf.
