The Problem With Booktok Novels & Stories

She felt like her whole world was spinning. The last page of the book had only one picture. And it was a picture of the cartoon version of Nate. He was sitting down on his knees, holding an engagement ring with the caption saying, ‘will you marry me?’ “Um…Nate…if this is a joke, you better cut it out,” her voice shook. She closed the book and found Nate on his knees, holding a ring in his hand, just like in the book. Amelia gasped. “Aww…” Ryan started to say, but Ginny slapped his mouth shut. The whole room went quiet and waited for Amelia’s reaction.

My phone buzzed—Noah. Not a call this time. A text. Did we do something wrong? My friend said your book might get taken down. My chest tightened. I typed back slowly, choosing words the way you choose steps on broken glass. We didn’t do anything wrong. Someone is trying to scare us. The book stays. You stay safe. He replied with a single emoji—🧠—then another: 🔒 He was locking himself into the part of the story the internet couldn’t access. I wanted to hug him so hard I broke the air.

I've read her bestselling book, so how am I supposed to miss this one? I searched for the platform on which this book is available. Because the platform has already closed, I can't read this book. I called the publishing houses because I am determined to read this book. I requested a copy of her book, and they said that their publishing house had burned down many years before, destroying all of their data.

I get dressed and Greg, my photographer, is there ready to take pictures of me, Hannah my assistant will be uploading the pictures to my F******k and I*******m. My driver is waiting outside for me. I don’t drive. Not a lot at least. Blake would never let me live down the time I got into an accident twice in one day. Since then, Joe has been by my side. Not that I’m complaining, I hate driving. On the drive I go through TikTok. I loved going through TikTok, well more booktok. I loved finding new books to read. I was an addict. I know many nights I forgo sleep being on TikTok. I’d pay for it the next day. I’d want to stay in bed all day when I had a meeting with my publicist or my lawyer.

We are moving into the next phase of the book, and I want you all to fasten your seat belts because the road is going to be hot and bumpy. I also have a trailer for the book on my social media pages. I called again, moving toward the door but I got no answer. This guy is not only a nerd, he is also weird and somehow crazy. I wonder how I was going to cope with him when I joined his book club. I grabbed my phone off the table and unlocked it. As the screen popped on, messages flooded in. Group chats messages , especially the ones I've muted for a while now. ‘Arian Smith, Orleans College Book Club President, Accused of Misusing Club Funds.’ I blinked, trying to wake myself from the dream. I scrolled down, read it again and it was still the same.

The machine beeped letting Reese know that he only had ninety seconds until it shut down. There was more giggling and loud whispers that he could not make out. Dean had told him that age gap was the latest trend on BookTok. He wasn’t exactly sure what age gap was, or even BookTok, but he had a pretty good idea, and thought the whole thing just sucked. He was fifty-two being hit on by college coeds. Beep. Beep. The slow current stopped and Reese reached out for the bar along the front. With his hand firmly in place, he placed his feet under him and pulled off his goggles. Sure enough, four college age girls sat by his towel.
