She Belongs To The Sky

She Belongs To The Sky

Not bleakness. Then we hear it. We hear it seconds prior to when everyone out on the tarmac, sidewalk, even those alighting vehicles start sprinting, scrambling for shelter. We hear the howl of the rain coming behind us. I am familiar with this kind of cloudburst. It is agile, youthful and exuberant, unlike the wizened rains that fall in September or the fluctuating drizzles late in March. This kind comes in June. Rain that runs. Rain that sprints.

Hailstorm

Hailstorm

Like congratulations: You’ve seen I’m pregnant, you want an award or something? Thanks for buying all those things. I’m actually pretty excited now for the baby to come along. I’m finishing up my second trimester now so it’s soon. I think the baby will come around November/December so it’ll be a bit cooler for when the baby comes. It’s been so bloody hot this year, it’s insane. Like I’ve had no need for a sweater this year. It’s actually quite surprising. However the temperature is dropping by now and it’s actually raining. The girls and I have been hauled up inside for a whole week now just starring out at the droplets falling from the sky. It had actually haled one night and I swear, Hail

Angel's Love

Angel's Love

Angel I'm walking on the pavement, tapping my feet against the ground so that it will make a splash. It's raining, and being my usual self, I forgot my umbrella at home. I'm returning home from the gym, and the rain is cooling off my body perfectly. I enjoy the rain. I take a deep breath and look at the sky. Raindrops gently hit my face, making me relax. After some minutes, I start walking back home because I notice that the rain is about to stop, and I am drenched. I don't want to get sick, so I quicken my pace until my house is in view. I run to my door then turn my head slightly to the left to see some boxes on my neighbours' porch. They just moved in, and I haven't even seen them once ex

Rainey Weather

Rainey Weather

Alex asked, worry evident in his voice as he looked at me, then my father who gestured towards me. “Raine, honey, it is past midnight.” Oh no. As I looked at him with his arms out trying to calm me down without touching me I had a flash of a memory. There was dad, in the same position with the same words, ‘Raine, baby, you have to calm down’ only he was younger, and taller. I was so small and there was rain pouring around us, thunder crashing as I watched a storm roll in over us. ‘Rainey, control your feelings. The rain is a part of you.’

So far the story is very intriguing and interesting. There are a few errors here and there but nothing that takes away from the story being enjoyable. It moves at a good pace and it’s not repetitive which is a nice change for this app. The author seems to care about their craft again that is a plus

The Rain Princess

The Rain Princess

A heavy rain just started to fall , and to be fair it was the strongest rain ever witness in the kingdome , the rain was as a glowing icy blue fall , yet doesn't give cold chills but rather warmth to the bones , that night the king wandered in the castle unheeding to no where in confusion not talking to anyone, not even Asian herself , like he was bewitched by something ,he wandered and wandered until he found himself in front of my mom's room, he shakely grabbed the dusty curtained door , he entered by pushing it by both of his hands , just to find her in that miserable state where he let a tearful sigh escape his eyes , i wondered if he can feel her pain , or was it a crocodile tear, she

The Alpha King is a Woman

The Alpha King is a Woman

She lifts her chin slightly—and the sky obeys. The heavens break as rain crashes down—not gentle, not gradual, but violent. Sheets of water slam into rooftops, pound against the earth, and drench fur, skin, and flame alike. Steam erupts in furious hissing clouds as fire meets water. The flames scream as they die, shrinking beneath the assault. Within moments—moments—what threatens to erase half my territory is reduced to blackened wood and soaked earth. The rain does not stop until every last spark is extinguished.

Amidst the Rain in New York

Amidst the Rain in New York

“No matter what happens, I’m here.” A warm feeling washed over me. I nodded firmly, then took his arm. Together, we walked back into the noise and glittering chaos of the banquet hall. However, this time, my steps were steadier because I knew that no matter how stormy the road ahead, the man beside me would always be the shelter that kept me dry.

Blood and Rain

Blood and Rain

The rain on the western ridge did not merely fall; it drove sideways, a relentless sheet of freezing highland water that turned the peat and heather into a thick, clinging mire. Tala stood perfectly motionless at the absolute precipice of the ridge, her feet dug firmly into the ancient earth. The storm howled around her, ripping at her clothes, but her spun-copper hair seemed to dance with a life of its own, vibrant against the dark, bruising gray of the sky. Her icy blue eyes were fixed on the valley below, tracking the glowing halogen headlights of Malakai’s heavy excavation armor as the machinery slowly ground its way toward the first sacred threshold.

Under the Rain, Love Fades

Under the Rain, Love Fades

The night before the Fourth of July holiday, my husband gathered the entire company for what I thought would finally be our long-awaited public announcement. Instead, his clueless assistant burst into the room wearing a wedding dress. "Cameron, I'm here to marry you." He didn't turn her down. If anything, his eyes softened with unmistakable affection as he promoted her to vice president on the spot. The entire company erupted in cheers for their love story. When my coworkers noticed me standing frozen off to the side, one of them couldn't resist reminding me. "Stephanie, you've been with Mr. Cox for nine years. You can't let a moment this special pass without saying something!" I smile
