Another raven sat on her window and started troubling Sun and Shine. Akshara helped the little birds to get rid of the ravens and closed the windows. Soon another raven appeared outside the window and started pecking the glass of the closed window of Akshara’s room and it was followed by many ravens. The glass of the window started to break inch by inch and one of the ravens was about to enter her room.

In the night, while leaving the mall, Xavier saw Ralph entering inside. Xavier halted his walk and turned to Edwin, pointing his finger in the direction of Ralph. He spoke “He is your friend, Ralph, right? You introduced him to me, once.” Without hearing Edwin’s reply, Xavier shouted “Ralph!” Ralph stopped walking and turned to him. As soon as he saw Edwin, he decided to go away but seeing Xavier, he couldn’t walk away. His manners didn’t let him do that. “Ralph, it’s been a long time. How are you boy?” Xavier asked, enthusiastically.

The only thing I had with me when I was captured. I flipped the pages open going through my rough sketches. Mostly scenery of what I could remember from before the pet store, which granted, wasn’t a lot. As I kept going I found a sketch of Amethyst. Just a portrait I drew, and a few doodles. The book wasn’t very full, but the amount of time I could get my hands on a pencil or a pen was rare. I kept scanning pages, when I saw movement in my doorway and looked up. Rowen was standing there with his arms folded leaning on my door jam. I had no idea how long he had been there.

But if I told them the truth, maybe they would take me back to Thornwood. “A werewolf.” I said as loud as I could muster. Collective gasps broke out around me. Gasps of shock and disdain. ***Hyacinth*** The words on the business textbook blurred together, meaningless shapes on a page. I tapped my pen against my notebook, leaving behind a trail of spirals and half-formed story ideas instead of notes. This wasn’t me. Numbers, strategies, corporate jargon—it all felt like a language I’d never be fluent in. But Raven had insisted, and so here I was, trapped in a role I never wanted. A sigh escaped me, heavy with frustration. “It’s interesting.”

"Yeah. Twice." I waited for more, but he didn't provide. His voice had clipped on at the end. A wall. I didn't push. Then he said to me, "Beware ravens." I looked at him, furrowed brows. "Ravens?" "Witches employ them as spies," he said to me, his voice lower. "If you come across one… don't speak. Don't role-play it. Just wait. Understand?" I nodded. "Remember.". Without delay, I returned to the tent and grabbed a bit of cloth, soap herbs, and a water flask.

RAVEN I could feel it in my bones, this gut-deep certainty that it was all coming to an end soon. Not just the suffering, not just the hiding and the planning and the looking over my shoulder every time I turned a corner. No, this was the kind of end that came with blood on the floor and names finally crossed off a long list of pain. I could feel time slipping through my fingers like water, and with every second, the storm inside me grew louder. “Raven,” Rowena said, her voice lower than usual, steadier too, like a blade being sharpened just before war. I turned to her, watching the way her fingers curled into fists at her sides.

*** FLASHBACK The raven perched on the windowsill of Ragnar's chamber, its black feathers ruffling slightly in the breeze Ragnar, who was sitting at his table, studying a map, looked up at the sound of the raven's call. As Ragnar got up from his desk and walked over to the window, the raven turned its head to look at him. Ragnar stood in front of the window, observing the raven that had just landed on the sill. Its glossy black feathers shone under the sunlight that filtered through the glass, and its beady eyes blinked rapidly as it looked around. The bird seemed restless, and Ragnar wondered if it had come with a message. He watched it for a moment longer, but it made no move to fly away,

~Night in the North~ The band of the night anti-supernatural creatures were all set out all on standby against the time the enemy steps forth unaware of their secret formation and intentions. They are all following the lead of Raven. "Kai, can you hear me now?" Raven asked tapping the piece plugged to her ear. "Yes Raven. Very clear" "I'm with Delilah. Check with Archie and the rest. Any time from now, we might spot something fishy around. I think they are probably thinking of setting a trap for us tonight"
