“Do you want to come along?” I freeze. This is unexpected. Suspiciously unexpected. “Why? Diana’s POV I spend half the day in my room, buried in the new fantasy book I’ve been obsessing over. Honestly, the book is the only reason I haven’t overthought my entire existence in this house. That, and the free Wi-Fi that is probably fast enough to power a small country.

The lady was surprised and confused when he suddenly cut her off. "Y-Yes? I think she placed it on her vanity area." He felt like he was being poured with a glass of cold water when his speculation was confirmed. Hyde remembered it when he went to the victim's vanity table. He remembered what it looked like. A bird darker than a crow, and usually eats flesh from dead animals. A bird that means DEATH... A CARRION CROW.

“Bring the Black Coast shipment codes, the account access, and every fucking file you stole.” A sob caught painfully in my throat. What the hell were they talking about? “I swear I don’t know anything,” I whispered desperately. “I don’t even know who Ravens is.” One of the men barked out a laugh. “Damn. The gun pressed harder into my skin and my breathing immediately turned shaky again. “You hear that, Ravens?” the man said into the phone. “Fourteen hours before we paint the floor with her brains.”

We all hunt and gather food, we all bring back fresh water, guard the camp, put together new homes, train together. The moment she let out a gasp and faked a dizzy spell was the moment I knew I had made a mistake. Raven's love for books was evident in the way she threw herself into reading the historical book about stags with the title, “The existence of the great stag,” which she came across. I had to close the book shut myself. She resumed browsing the shelves and gushing over the books. “Can't I just live here?” She asked. I sighed for the umpteenth time, “Raven we may or may not even be allowed to be in here right now.” “Fine, fine. Let's go.”

4 WITH THE MARE’S INJURY SALVED and wrapped, Raven returned to the cabin, and began setting things right. The plates and cutlery had been washed and dried and put neatly away on a shelf, the table wiped clean, and the wash water discarded. There was little left for her to do except to sit and read by the light of a tallow candle, a single volume of poetry, the origin of which, was now unknown. Raven sat at the table with the volume open, yet she could not seem to concentrate. She read the first line, then, read it again, and still it refused to penetrate her brain. I grunted. After hours of research, I was about to give up and turn in for the night when something caught my eye. A small blue-black book peeped from the corner behind the other book on the shelf. It looked a little older than the other books. I slipped it out and opened the first page. The first three words I saw were “THE RAVEN WOLVES.” My wolf and I howled for joy because we had been searching for hours for this tiny book. I opened the next page and started reading through it.

THE DAY OF THE CLAIMING CEREMONY… A lot of things happened that lead to this day. Raven thought this is the happy ending that she’s been waiting for. She thought the claiming ceremony would be the answer to her problems, the shift to her new life and everything will be merry since then. In the books that she read, the main characters lived a hard life from the start, but the stories always end with a happy ending for them when they marry the person that was meant for them.

The sound of snarles and growls filled the air as waves of wolves erupted down the driveway, careful to stay off the grass. The music had stopped and growls had sounded from within the walls. Busting out the doors, wolves had started pouring out in their drunken state. Raven charged within them and assisted in taking down wolves. I felt three more wolves lose their battle and the burn in my throat told me how.
