An Alpha Queen's Rogue

An Alpha Queen's Rogue

“No more Alpha chains. No more submission. A pack of equals. Power by right, not birth.” I fake another sip of my drink and tune in. Because that right there? That’s recruitment. And it’s working. Vero’s voice is low, slippery. Each sentence carefully laid like a trap of silk and steel. They’re not just building a rogue army. They’re building a cult. I wait a few minutes before moving. When I stand, I keep my shoulders hunched, my steps staggered like someone who’s seen too much and survived too little. I make sure to look harmless.

Fighting Hearts

Fighting Hearts

"Not worse. Maybe... not better either. Stable." "That's enough for today," Sloane nodded. "I'm not putting you back in the ring. Only mobilization—three stages. And this afternoon: nothing. Rest." Lennox didn't object. Not for a second. "Alright," he said simply. This "alright" wasn't resignation. It was trust. Marcus sipped his coffee with a faint smile, then looked at Sloane. "So the recruitment starts?" "It does," Sloane answered. "And we're not just looking for sparring partners anymore. We're building a new structure.

To Be Married To a Sinner

To Be Married To a Sinner

"Diane, could you do me a favor and send in the new recruit? I'll handle the orientation, while you get the reports ready." I put the phone down before she could say anything else and just stretched on my chair. Whatever was going on with Winter and I already stopped. It stopped the moment she didn't respond to my text. I sure as hell know how crazy it would have been if she kept responding to my text. I let out another tired sigh while waiting for the recruit. I picked up her file, one that Diane had dropped before leaving. I flipped it open and saw the name. Win Tats. Is it just me or does the name remind me of something? I slowly closed my eyes for a better

She's Not For You

She's Not For You

More whoops and hollers. River puts his hands up. "One more thing......you'll be running against me." He winks. The recruits all grinned ear to ear. "So you better be fast." Some recruits are shooting River sly smiles, rubbing their hands together in anticipation. Beating an Alpha would make for great bragging rights. "Alright! Prepare to break loose!" River yells and we all start stripping. Stacking our clothes on the the side.

Fired by AI, Hired by Karma

Fired by AI, Hired by Karma

If the company had really done nothing wrong, why would they need to lie? Then I received a WhatsApp message from a recruiter friend. "Ms. Lyttle, did you make someone important angry? Three of my clients were very interested in your resume, but today they all suddenly decided not to move forward. I asked around, and it turns out someone called one of the companies." I immediately asked for more details. After hesitating for a moment, my recruiter sent me a screenshot of a conversation with an HR manager.

BRED FOR DUTY

BRED FOR DUTY

“Mother will kill me if you have a scratch on you.” “I’m fine Randi. How did you know?” She turned to her father as her hands thwarted off Randi’s. “I do not allow short and petite men in my army. If you want to go unnoticed you should put on a bit more weight,” he stood up and beckoned his children to follow him. Adalia and Randi walked at their father’s sides, a half step behind him. “Adalia I know you want to be part of the army but the South has been in peace for years. But I will let you train with your brother on the condition that you do not get in the way.”

The Retired Mercenary's Great Retaliation

The Retired Mercenary's Great Retaliation

"You're Jason Leigh, right? Human resources informed me that you're only a high school graduate. Do you really understand all this?" "I used to be a mercenary," I corrected him in a calm but clear voice. Tony was taken aback, but he quickly laughed out loud. His laugh was so loud that it echoed throughout the workshop. The people standing next to him laughed along. "What's a mercenary doing here as a stockkeeper? Who would believe you, Leigh?"

Auctioned Bride Of The Cursed Alpha

Auctioned Bride Of The Cursed Alpha

I couldn’t even hide my disappointment. Everyone finally settled while I looked at the arena. The trainers had started. The first group of recruits was already in position below — I could see them through the viewing glass, lined up and tense. The Delta came around and distributed the files containing every recruit's information around the table. He outlined the evaluation structure — how the trainers would assess the recruits, the scoring criteria, the order of the exercises. Standard procedure. I took mine and stared down at the papers. I couldn’t even read past the first line. I wasn't absorbing a thing. I set it flat on the table.
