“You’ll assume whatever suits your agenda,” I shot back, my voice sharp as glass. “But if you’re so desperate to stay, then by all means, make yourself comfortable. I’ll arrange for your pack to be accommodated.”
“Don’t bother. We’ll stay on the outskirts. Watching. Waiting.” Rosie’s eyes gleamed with malicious intent. “And when you slip up, I’ll be there to seize what should rightfully be mine.”
With that, she turned on her heel, her warriors trailing after her like obedient shadows.
