When we finally reached the cemetery, Mother hurriedly ordered Victoria to be placed in the tomb. Just as Victoria was about to escape this predicament, I quickly spoke up in grief. "The burial oration hasn't been read yet." The accompanying officials nodded repeatedly. "The oration must be read so that the gods will know the crown princess' virtues." I looked at the long scroll and could not help but smile slightly. Victoria would never last that long. Just then, three familiar figures came rushing from the distance. Mother's blood ran cold as she instinctively looked up. With just one glance, she recognized the three beastmen.

I stood up, not wanting to hear another word of this disgusting conversation. Seeing that I was about to leave, Eric quickly got up as well, signing anxiously. He was asking what was wrong. I shook my head. "I'm tired. I want to go home and rest." Without waiting for his response, I walked straight out of the private room. As soon as I stepped out of the banquet hall, I saw the plaza used for the Kalmoor Pack's rituals. Right in the center, Eric had arranged candles to spell out, "Alison, marry me!"
