Panicking, she fiddled with the volume control until the squealing stopped and everything became strangely clear. "How are they?" Jacqueline enquired. She jumped in terror, forgetting she could now hear. "Better than nothing," she signed with a slight smile. "I can actually hear what you say; my hearing had definitely deteriorated as your voice sounded muffled and quiet," she stated. "That is good, one step at a time; those are the strongest ones we have for now; in the future, we will do better," she explained, knowing these did not look good on her, but she was the second Luna with this condition, and they had to do their best to find something that would fit her.
