The Story Of The Three Bears Novels & Stories

“Tasha, we love you. We don’t want you to leave us.” I wrapped my arms around his neck. “I am not leaving you guys. I just need to know the truth. Why won’t you just tell me?” He picked me up and I put my legs around his waist. “What if I told you that the bears in the forest woods were really people and the king of bears wants you to be his mate?” My eyes widened. “I would tell you that as awesome as that sounds, people don’t shift into animals. Even if they did, who has ever heard of a bear? Wolves, sure, but never a bear.”

The mountain valley echoed with harrowing screams, the metallic scent of blood saturating the air. I stood still, watching, waiting for their demise, when suddenly, a gunshot cracked through the stillness. The bear, startled by the sound, turned sharply and bolted back to its cubs, gathering them before vanishing into the forest's shadows.

But my legs were rooted to the spot, my entire being consumed by the chaos unfolding before me. Caleb, recovering from his fall, charged once more, his makeshift weapon raised high. He was a force of nature, driven by the need to protect, to fight against the looming threat. The bear, sensing the combined resolve of its adversaries, let out a final, frustrated growl before retreating into the depths of the forest, its dark form disappearing amongst the trees.

It was a book they had read countless times, but each time, it held a new magic, a new wonder for Theo. “Once upon a time,” Hazel began, her voice soft and soothing, “there was a little bear named Barnaby who loved to go on adventures.” Theo’s eyes widened, his attention captivated by the story. He listened intently, his tiny fingers tracing the illustrations, his imagination soaring with each word Hazel spoke. The story of Barnaby the bear, his adventures in the forest, his encounters with talking squirrels and mischievous rabbits, filled the room with a sense of magic and wonder. Theo giggled at Barnaby’s antics, his heart filled with joy.

"It is from both of us." He corrected, grabbing my hand again, but it didn't feel the same. The tension in his body made it feel forced, and I resented his mother for having this effect on him. She should have stood up for him to their sleuth. I understood that wolves and bears were different in so many ways. Wolves stood together as a pack. As long as they were all loyal, it was always 'the larger, the better.' But bears were independent creatures. They wandered and were alone for most of their life, only banding together in sleuths when they were kids, pregnant, or old.

Annie's response came in a hushed tone, "New Forest." The Alpha bear made a mental note to contact the old alpha in New Forest to verify her story. Annie, compelled by the urgency of the situation, continued her narrative. She recounted stumbling upon John's abandoned campsite, explaining how she had decided to watch over it. As the night wore on and he didn't return, she confessed, "I thought I could take the food and some goods, but then John suddenly showed up. He was kind to me. We planned to leave come morning, but the wolves attacked and captured him."

“Look, do you want the pups or not?” “Yes, I do. Tell me how to get my prize’s back.” Burican smiled. “Follow me.” The bear told him. His beast was angry with him. How dare he turn his back on his clan. He kept fighting with his human side. “You can’t do this!” “They are innocent cubs.” His beast yelled at him. “They aren’t my cubs or part of my clan, so they are not my concern.” Bear scoffed at his beast. He walked in front of Burican and Max showing them the hidden entrance to the clan bunker.

She spoke the entire time while looking at the director, never once at Curt's parents. "I admit I was the one who suggested we get out and feed the bear. But my original suggestion was just to observe from a distance. I never told anyone to get that close. I got injured too." She pointed at the gauze on her face. As she spoke, her voice dropped, as though she were the one with a grievance. "As for what actually caused the incident, the bear was lying still. Every one of us assumed it wasn't aggressive. Animals in extreme starvation will fake weakness. It's a hunting instinct."
