"Please hear me out." "I'm listening." She turned to fully face me. "It had better be worth my time." "Maybe you're not informed but I am not Kelan's original bride..the bride.." I stuttered then picked up. "..the bride was kidnapped and Jason asked me to play her role while he go in search of her. I wasn't..the wedding.. it's a mistake. I am Jason's fiancee." I caught my reflection on the wall, my cheeks were burning in tears.

She said with that stern tone she always used to get her way. Hours later, I heard the commotion downstairs; her arrival. I reluctantly left my room dragging my feet as I walked down the down staircase. Then I saw her. My jaw clenched as recognition hit me like a freight train. It was her—the girl from last night. The one I’d shared an impulsive, reckless night with at the club. She stood there, looking as stunned as I felt, her eyes darting nervously towards mine. “Callum.” My father said, snapping me out of my thoughts. “This is your bride; her name is Marlowe.”

She asked. “Tess I need help.” I said and told her my problem. “I knew this wasn’t going to be easy.” Tess groaned. “And why would Ivy Sullivan arrange such a huge wedding knowing she won’t be the bride?” “I don’t know, and Clive isn’t picking his phone. What do I do?” “I’d say cancel this whole arrangement, but since that’s not possible, you should downsize the wedding. Make it private. Just you, Paul and a witness. Tell them you are doing it for Paul, so he won’t have to face the public in his state.”

/Brian’s POV/ After speaking to Ember and she asked me to participate in the bride switch, I had no choice but to do it because I love her so much, and I will do anything for her. I called Elva and put her up to the task without having to explain so much because I knew that my sister would do anything to make me happy. The bride switch was carried out successfully, but Eden’s family members are riled up by the fact that the substitute bride is Meelah of all people, and they are of the opinion that she disregarded her friendship with her friend just because of a man.

"You are such a selfish, arrogant and rude personDon't you have a heart???. No one's gonna love or marry a person like you." "Why don't you look at yourself first before judging another person???, You are a stupid and rufey lady who don't know how to speak to people, First learn how to speak I would never marry a person like you and even if you were the last person left on earth I would never marry you." Suddenly two guards headed towards me, I left his hand because I didn't want any trouble. If I get into any trouble my step mother would take advantage of it. So I moved backwards, and stared at him in anger.

“Thought you'd be too busy keeping up with your Botox appointments.” Her smile thinned. “Oh, please, Lucia. Let’s not pretend you belong here. You may have gotten the title, but you and I both know this isn’t real. Just a cover-up marriage, isn’t it?” My fingers twitched around the clutch in my hand. She leaned in slightly, voice low. “You think this changes anything? You’re still just the substitute bride. The one they picked to take my place when I said no.” My jaw tightened, but I stayed still.

He assured her, "Okay dear, bye and my regards to..." "Mom, I'll send your regards to her. Bye." He cut her off and bade his bye, hanging up the call immediately. "She wants the wedding to be in Palm Springs." "Then, a Palm Springs wedding it'll be, except it won't be between you and Julie." "What do you mean?" Robin asked confusedly, "We're getting a substitute bride for you." He announced and Robin was deadpanned.

~Elena~ I clasped my thigh, dragging the duvet closer to my naked body. I never expected that agreeing to be a substitute bride would drag my life into another nightmare. My new husband was disfigured as well as disabled, but it didn't affect his aura and power. I had no idea what I did wrong to piss him off. Didn't he marry Julia for love? Or had he recognized that I was just a fake? I followed the butler down the hall, the cold floor masking my feet. We arrived at a different section of the house on the ground floor. We passed a corridor connected with doors and stopped in front of one. He pushed open the door and ushered me in first before following.

I stood by his side staring and transfixed, the clicking of the camera from the reporters was on repeat. Tristain Herdezn exchanged pleasantries with her, and I kept on shaking my head in defeated silence. I could read the next headline in the papers by morning. “The substitute bride was humiliated at her own reception” “Ruthless billionaire ignores his wife for a more sexy lady” “Tristain Herdezn, and who do we have here?”. The woman who made a mockery of me right before the whole crowd, turning to face me not letting go of her grip on Tristain's arm.
