He was afriad that he had a concussion from all of the hits to the head and face earlier, as well a blood loss and exposure. Regardless though, he had to stay awake for his kids. In case Nate or the other man found them, he needed to be alert so that he could protect them. Sunny whimpered in his arms and instinctively started singing her favorite song to her beneath his breath. The song he always sings to her when she is scared, hurt, sick or upset. It is their song. “You are my sunshine.. my only sunshine.. you make me happy... when skies are gray.. you'll never know, dear, how much I love you.. please don't take my sunshine away..”

SHAWN One minute I’m sitting on my bed, still in yesterday’s clothes, staring at nothing in particular and the next, I’m waking up to sunlight cutting through the curtains and a dull heaviness sitting behind my eyes. For a second, everything feels normal. Then it comes back.The pack. The bond. Kane. I exhale slowly, dragging a hand over my face before reaching for my phone on the nightstand. A notification blinks on the screen. Mike. " I know you left.Just… whatever you decide, I'm on your side."

So...There has been an issue with the formating that I use to differentiate between the chatracters talking out loud and when they are mindlinking. The mindlink should be bold and in italics, and while it looks like that in the author center and all of my views, it does not seem to be that way for your view as the readers. It is something that is being worked on. In the mean time I will place ' *** ' at the beginning and end of the mindlinked dialogue just so it makes sense for context.
