CHAPTER 17 ~~FREYA ASHWOOD~~ The class dragged on for exactly two hours, but we didn’t even get a proper break. One teacher left and another walked in like it was some kind of relay. By the third period, I was barely hanging on—tired, hungry, and still sore from my stupid escape attempt the night before. I snapped back to the present when I heard my name. “F… R… E… Y… A.” Every letter was dragged out by a short, pot bellied teacher, who had somehow appeared right next to my desk. The whole class turned to stare. Heat rushed up my neck and flooded my cheeks.

My teacher stepped into the room, her presence cool and still, like a blade sheathed in calm. She looked exactly as she always did—expression blank, gaze unreadable, power coiled tightly beneath her skin. I studied her through narrowed, wary eyes, my body too weak to shift away. Do I have to care?” Freeda’s face became red out of anger and embarrassment. She then raised her hand, about to slap the poor kid so I decided to step out and stop her before she could even do anything bad to this student. “Freeda, stop!” She averted her gaze towards me, and her eyes instantly widen. She put her hand down, looking at me unbelievably. “Y-you’re h-here...” “Yeah. I am, for about five minutes ago.”

Everyone agreed with that man. After which Maya removed Arya's pendrive and put her pendrive in the laptop. And she started showing her report to everyone on the projector. The report made by her was completely organized and all the details were shown in it with great precision. Now everyone started telling Maya that she is right. Then Maya looked at Arya with pride and said while looking at him like that, "That is why only seniors can do the work of seniors. This is not possible for a newcomer like you."
