Three years ago, I'd had a chance to go back. The Witch had drawn my blood, cast a spell, and opened a portal to the real world. "Walk through and you'll be home. Go on — you never belonged here to begin with." In those early days, the terror of waking up in a strange world had kept me up night after night. Back then, I would have done anything to go home. But five years in the werewolf world had changed me. I'd built a life here. I'd found people who mattered.

Frustration bubbled inside me as I clicked link after link, searching for anything that felt real. Then I found it. An article buried deep in an obscure forum, titled “The Forgotten Threat: Nightwalkers Among Us.” “Guys,” I said, my voice trembling slightly. “I think I found something.” They crowded around me as I scrolled through the page. It described creatures that thrived in darkness, their eyes pitch black, their presence marked by death and destruction. The details were sparse, but the fear in the writer’s words was palpable. “This has to be fake,” Zane said, though he didn’t sound entirely convinced.

I forgot about them,” Nigel cursed. “Night Walkers are vampires who can't walk in the sun, so they hunt at nights,” Miranda declared, and again Lazarus was impressed. “So now you all see why you have to spend the night here?” Lazarus said this looking directly on Velma, whose face was so red she had to turn her eyes on the floor. “OK that’s the smart thing to do,” Valko added.

“Lion King !” His face lights up again and he throws me a wide grin. I’m just relieved that we already have two more than Paris and Declan. “Okay, last one from Chris before Ahana takes over,” Sean says. Chris rolls his hand in a circular motion, raises six fingers and then stands bent over, walking with an imaginary cane, staggering for emphasis. “Walking Dead !” I yell, not even sure that’s a movie, and totally ignoring the fact he raised all the fingers on one hand and an extra on the other.

Most crawlers drag their victims around until they get bored and bury the bodies. Last but not least, there are the Daywalkers- an unusual mutation that occurs when a human woman that carries a child is bitten by a vampire and gives birth to it before becoming a vampire herself. Daywalkers can walk around during the day, mingle, and feed on human food. There is no other information about them, but the vampires know that there are already more than a dozen Daywalkers. They are one of the biggest threats to the old vampires- a new, superior species. Most Daywalkers live as humans without knowing their true selves; therefore, it's nearly impossible to track them down. Personally, I'm obsessed w

The only person that matters in my life is gone, and now I'm left with nothing. I hear a low gnarl, surely, the gunshot must have attracted more zombies. My fists tighten as I turn to the few day walkers shuffling to me. There's a chill feeling of anger running down my spine at the moment I felt like a beast, aggressive like one of those cannibals.
