LOGINMATURE 18+ VAMPIRE BULLY ROMANCE ENEMIES TO LOVERS FATED MATES "You might not want me, mouse, but you're my blood mate so there's nothing you can do about it. We have a mutual loathing towards one another, but that can be overlooked when I am taking you from behind. There's nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. No matter where you go, I will find you." “What is it?” Roxie asked in a soft voice, “What’s wrong?” Walker breathed in deeply. Gods her scent was incredible. Leaning in, he placed his lips on her forehead, leaning her up against the tree. Roxie’s entire body stiffened in his hold and then a shiver skated down her spine. She instinctively reached out a hand and placed it on Walker’s chest. “W-what are you doing, Walker?” “I don’t know..” he croaked, placing his forehead on hers, “I have no clue.” Walker and Roxie are mortal enemies, but must come together as evil strikes when they realize what they're feeling for each other might be more than lust. His booming voice echoed through the halls and, of course, everyone shuddered around him, knowing damn well that he was talking to one person and one person only:
Roxie Reynolds...the timid little mouse who’d shown up at the school three years earlier. She was a nobody, a nuance, a little weed pushing up through a crack in the sidewalk, and Walker Wells had his eye on her since she arrived.
But not because he was interested.
Because he was a cad and a wretch and everyone knew it.
“I’m sorry,” she apologized, as if it was her fault that she needed her books from her locker, “I’m,-”
“Zip it, rodent,” Walker jostled his lock as Roxie waited patiently for her turn, “Put that mouth of yours to good use some day, mouse—if you ever find your mate, I MIGHT leave you alone."
“Well, you haven’t found yours,” Roxie mumbled, immediately regretting it. Walker pulled her into him by her shirt collar as a hush fell over the hallway.
“Did I ask you anything, mouse?”
“N-no...” Roxie shook her head, her auburn hair cascading over her shoulders and her nose practically touching Walker’s.
Walker studied her big green eyes, full of fear and curiosity.
She stared back at him, his brown orbs oozing with hate and loathing for the runt who was shuddering beneath him, his dark brown hair slicked back and making him appear more stoic and sinister.
His breath hitched as her slender body came in contact with his muscled stature. The little mouse wasn't too hard on the eyes, but Walker didn't want her to know that.
“You’re not even worthy of my time, mouse.”
And with that, Walker ambled away, his posse from his coven following his every step.
“Watch yourself around him,” a voice came from behind, “You can’t be too careful. He's been known to do some insane things to people he doesn't like."
Turning around, Roxie’s classmate, Felicity, stood there—clutching her books to her chest.
“He’s hot, but he’s crazy as hell.”
Roxie sighed, "I've lived with his bullying for three years now. I think I know what he's capable of."
As if Roxie needed anymore bullshit to come her way, she slammed her locker shut and hid behind Felicity for a moment, contemplating her next move.
“Oh, don’t you dare!” Felicity smiled, “You’re not going after him--why? He's so mean to you. He's got it out for you and then he'll take it out on me. Jesse already wants to see him fall of the Cliffs of Midnight. Don't go after him..
“I will,” Roxie said, her speech stammered, “He’s got to know I am not fucking around.”
“Rox, you’re going to get into more trouble and your coven is already on the watch list,” Felicity chided, "The Weeper's are really not going to like you fraternizing with Walker."
“I am aware,” Roxie told her, “I just want to see where they’re going.”
Felicity looked amused and then her face paled and she took a step away from her friend.
“No..I am not coming with you,” she shook her head, clutching her books even tighter, "You must be glutton for punishment or have a death wish."
“Come on,” Roxie said as she shoved the last of her books into her locker and slammed it shut, “I won’t bother you about them for at least a week.”
“Lies...”
“Maybe,” Roxie smirked, “Don’t tell me you’re not interested in figuring out their secrets.”
"But Walker is your boogeyman, Rox...Why are you so interested in him?"
Roxie smiled, but deep down, the young woman was terrified of the path she was about to take--a path that would either end in pain or pleasure.
Or both.
She was also very interested in Walker because she was taught to keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
“That’s right,” Maddy smiled, “Get angry with me. It’ll do you no good.”Roxie squeezed her eyes shut, possibly trying to save Archibald.Walker shook his head,“No, little mouse. He’s not coming back. ”There was still a great sadness in Walker’s voice which made Roxie even angrier.Jadis could feel it and so could Jaleesa. Leah and Chet, even Chad had stepped out from the shadows, preparing to fight off the succubi.“You’re no match for all of us, “Roxie said,“We will show you absolutely no mercy. You thought you could just take over Archibald’s little scheme? Look how that turned out. It’s over. People can finally be with their true mates. What do you propose now? A life where you rule? You and your minions?”Maddy locked eyes with Walker.“You’ve got a smart one, my son. Smart and pregnant. Ya know, your father was a good man, Roxie… Too bad he chose to interfere. ”Jenny stepped closer to Walker.“You killed our family, bitch…The things I wish I could do to you.”Maddy appeared sh
Walker held Crystal a little closer as she began to tremble.“Don’t panic. Stay calm,” Walker told her, “There’s got to be a good explanation.”Jaleesa made her way across the dance floor and stopped momentarily beside them.“Get ready to fight… ”Walker noticed Seth and Gordon mingling at the buffet. Their masks were off and they looked immersed in conversation. Pate and his wife, Angie, were eyeing the elders, Maddy and Archibald were dancing as Gina, Valentina, Felicity, and Norman rolled by like an oddball clique. He could sense Metgar and Martina, Corey and Sarai, floating around the room as mere observers. No one suspected witches and wolves to be there.“I’m surprised not everyone’s here,” Crystal said, “The Haven’s, Parker, Felicity’s people...”“The Haven’s are dead,” Jaleesa said, much to the shock of Walker and Crystal, “They tried to get to Roxie....”Walker looked to his mate who was just now receiving the news from Jadis. Her whole body went stiff and he could see her sh
“Just be cool, Roxie...” Roxie mumbled to herself, “Don’t be weird, don’t be weird...don’t be..”“Hey, Rox..”She whirled around, “J-Jesse...hi..”Looking around she didn’t see Felicity, but that mattered not. She didn’t know if Jesse was friend or foe yet.He looked her up and down and smiled, “I like your dress.”“Thank you,” she said, “I see you clean up well.”Jesse chuckled, “Thanks...”There was an awkward silence between them until Jesse piped up.“I’m sorry for causing you pain and being an asshole. You deserved better—you still deserve better..” Jesse said, “I hope that whoever your mate is that they treat you better than I did.”Roxie smiled, her red mask practically suffocating her eyes which seemed ridiculous, but the perspiration was getting to her.“I forgive you, Jesse..” she leaned in and kissed him on the cheek, “Cheers to new beginnings?”Jesse smiled and held up his cup, “To new beginnings...”Roxie wanted to rush off before she was asked about Walker and where she’
“Are you ready?”“Not at all.”“I’m not either.”“I don’t like that we have to be apart.”“It’s only for a little while, mouse.”“I can’t believe the four weeks have flown by.”“I can’t believe we’re going to have a baby.”“I can’t believe I’m letting you talk me into a dozen kids!”“It’ll be fun making those little rugrats… ”“I love you so much, Walker… ”“I love you, too, fancy face… ”They were caravaning to the masquerade ball. It was time–the final battle… possibly the start of a war that they had no intention of losing. The wolves and witches had bound themselves to smell like the vamps and they too were headed to the ball.Anyone in the vampire world could show up to see the 25 couples be united by the lies of the elder imposters.Roxie’s pulse raced even though they were a few hours away from Myrtle. The place had been canvassed, it was secure–or as secure as it could be.The witches, wolves, and vamps at Crow’s Peak had been trained, awakened, and a plan we put into place.I
