Never bent the knee to any Alpha. Ghosts, some called them.

" With that, Lucas pulled an exquisite diamond ring from his pocket, got down on one knee, and looked at me with deep affection. I extended my hand and said softly, "I will." Hearing this, Lucas's face lit up with a joyful smile. He put the diamond ring on my finger, then held me tightly. We had a lavish wedding during our travels. While traveling, I came across news about Sebastian. The news said that Sebastian had been severely injured in a business war with the Nolan family. I searched through it to find my phone. The red blinking at the top signified the battery was low. I shoved it back into the purse and dumped it on the bed. Damien was still barking at the phone as I slide the glass doors opened and walked into the balcony. The cool night air hit my face ever so freely and I inhaled the ocean breeze. It was calming to the nerves and soon, my mind has wandered off the barfing and Bethany's trouble. I concentrated more on the waves as it hit the shore.

Chapter 24: Thrice Tricked Kendra’s P.O.V: “Hey, pretty lady. Can I buy you a drink?” I turned my head sidewise to look at the guy who just made that comment. Dyed blonde hair gelled back to give a sleek look, hazel eyes and a pretty face. The man was wearing blue denims with a white t-shit and a black leather jacket over it, and he seemed to have a nice physique. The box went cold and heavy in my lap. Outside, the Valerii cars suddenly swerved. Without the "song" to guide them, they were blind in the mist. One of them clipped a tree and spun out, disappearing into the ravine. The others slowed, confused, as we disappeared into a narrow, hidden logging trail Dante had spotted at the last second. He drove for another mile in total darkness, no headlights, until we were deep within the pines. He finally stopped the car and slumped against the seat, his forehead resting on the steering wheel.

Golden arrows slowly emerged, timidly trying to chase away the shadows of the night. The great fire disc made its appearance. First, it emerged as a red line growing wider and wider until it rose victorious into the angelic blue sky, ready to stretch its arms over the whole earth. It tamed its color slightly, becoming comforting as it shyly soaked up the night frost with which you would think it was soothing its own color.

Chapter 12: The Whispering Pines The Forbidden Grove was not a place found on any map of the five kingdoms. It existed in the "In-Between," a pocket of the world where the veil between the physical realm and the spirit wild was thin enough to bleed.
