The Winemaker's Wife Novels & Stories

Isabella asked. Yes, the woman my husband had brought into our wine cellar was Isabella Thortorn, the Laurent Group’s model and brand ambassador. “She wouldn’t dare do anything,” Tristan growled, moving Isabella onto his lap. “I...I’m afraid she’ll cause a scene and report—“ Isabella’s words trailed off as she joined him in softly moaning. Then she hugged Tristan tightly while closing her eyes. The scene was heart-wrenching and painful, yet I couldn’t stop watching.

She was walking with her trembling legs. Standing exactly an inch away from the photo she drank the wine a bit and murmured, "My dear husband killed my fiance just so he could win... He wanted him to pay him back the money and bet if he could not pay then my hubby would sleep with his fiancee... Shame of you! You... You are a f*cking murderer... Yes, you are ..." She splashed the wine left in the glass at the photo on the wall then she threw the glass on the floor. "Ma'am, it's time for dinner." She heard a maid to say so.

I led him into the house and he nodded his head gazing around the decor. "Very lovely and homey," he grinned. I headed towards the kitchen to see both women enjoying glasses of my fairy wine. We stood by them. Adria looks up, grinning brightly. "This lovely woman is a fairy guardian, even doing it when she was fully human, it's amazing," she grins at her husband. Nyx smiles and nods, eyeing McKenna curiously. I offered him a glass of wine and took a seat next to my mate.

It was as if I was stepping on the ground of fire, afraid to step and unable to move. He took the bottle of wine and I heard the sound of opening it. The cap of the bottle rolled to the floor and I smelled the grape flavor of the wine, but it had a strange boldness. In a few seconds, he carried the bottle and poured wine to our goblets. The sound of the pouring wine and its smells dominated inside the room. In silence, he carried one of the goblets and placed it near my plate. “One thing it takes to be my wife, Miss Wills. You should love wine more than you love me.”

Helena spat the name like poison, her knuckles tightening around the mantel. “She waltzed into the winery one day, flashing her money and charm. Bought the place outright, expanded it, and turned it into the empire that became Royalita Winery. Gus was enthralled, swept up in her vision and wealth. And when she married him, she turned me and you into his secret shame.” Harley froze, her breath catching. “Secret?”

Sarah inquired as she began to execute the appetizer menu on her plate, jabbing a fork into her mouth and pulling Escargot into her mouth in a very delicate and classy manner. She tries to imitate Sarah's actions, and despite her unprofessional appearance, she deceives her brilliantly. "I like, like..." she said, perplexed. "You have to like this wine because it is your husband's favorite drink. Don't you know, if he keeps this wine in his office, he'll drink it when he's upset and desperate?" Sarah said this while lining a small but meaningful smile on her lips. She missed her first taste as soon as she heard about alcohol in her husband's office.

"What are you doing?" He smiled politely. "Being a husband." She kicked him under the table. He didn't even flinch. The innkeeper returned carrying breakfast. Eggs, Toast, Fresh fruit, Warm tea…and A small glass bottle. "Our homemade berry wine." Nyra's eyes widened. "Wine?" The old woman laughed. "Just a little." "It's traditional." Kaizen immediately slid the bottle away. "She doesn't drink." Nyra frowned. "How do you know?" "I have instincts."

She was not exactly a photographer but she had a few photographers working under her, Clara being the head photographer. Jake, Jensen’s husband of five years and father to her two kids, walked in with two bottles of red wine, “I have a feeling we'd be needing more than this considering I’m surrounded by drunks.” He chuckled, placing both bottles on the round glass table that has flower stickers pasted on it. Jensen arranged three wine glasses on the table while Jake filled each glass from the first bottle of wine.
