Letting go of Adira’s hand, I say to her in our link, “You get Alpha Zane, and I will distract the witch.” Gently, I began to push the door open and peeked inside to see Alpha Zane pinned to a wall, with nothing holding him to it with his feet off the ground. A wolf laid on the floor next to him, motionless, and the witch seemed to be packing what looked like books into a box. Adira slid past me and moved behind a table as I stepped in further, clearing my throat now to get the witch’s attention. Turning to me, the witch showed a look of disgust on her face as she says, “Not another Alpha.” As she raised her hands into the air.

There came two other witches to help. "why did you come?" Lucy asked and they smiled walking forward. They all walked with a sense of belonging, thinking they are all powerful. "You looked like you really need back up, so we came" Their last words hasn't ended when Abel buried his hands in one of then breast pulling it out. The second witch attacked but Abel held her head down bitting her in her throat which he pulled out fiercely. The first witch was the struggling with the pain of her lost breats when Abel started licking a heart turning back to face Lucy. Both witches slouch dead. Lucy drifted backwards entering into a portal immediately before Abel could run to her.

I cry over Grace’s lifeless body. The lycans and hunters form a circle around the seven witches who are now defenseless against us all. Silence falls over us all as I cry over Grace’s body. Taking her hand in my own, I hold it close to my heart. “We will be okay,” I say as I reach up and grasp Walter’s hand. “You can go rest now.” Her body lets out final sigh before turning to ash. Puckering my lips I blow gently across her ashes sending them into the sky and fluttering away.

We came upon the five witches, their eyes rolled back into their skulls as the pain drove them mad. I pulled the pain back and we killed them quickly. “Brenna,” I said loudly as I concentrated on where each body lay. We walked past them as they burned and made our way outside. “That was fun,” Slade said dryly as I ported us back to Morgan’s pack.

Sungul grinned proudly, “To know that you’ll soon have a familiar in your grasp.” I’ve seen other witches wandering around campus with theirs. Random floating objects or a slew of different animals saunter around with their witches. Some were as small as a pixie while others stretched high towards the ceiling, towering over the lot of us. There have been moments when I’ve thought what mine could possibly be. “Do you have one?”

"The same. Drained. No blood. Just empty." I leaned back in my chair and pressed my hands to my face. The killer was getting bolder and the patrols were getting more scared and the council was getting more impatient. Eight wolves dead. Eight families mourning.
