She tried to open it but couldn't. “ Solana, let me out! “ If you leave, you will die! Solana was dead, but her soul was present.

The ground shakes a little, and I swear it growls. "They may have killed and burnt her body, but she didn't die. Little wolf, it's not easy to kill a witch, especially one like Cressida. She's been biding her time so she could return to get her revenge." Gabe says with a sickly smile. That bastard will burn in hell for joining forces with the witch and calling me little wolf. When he and Trevor turn to look behind them, I know it's our only chance to leave. I get Wyatt's attention and nod toward the left. "Let's get out of here." He nods, and we take our first step to leave when the ground shakes before an eerie voice seems to come from everywhere.

“No!” Screams rise around me, but I ignore them, as my entire focus is on Red. A portal opens next to me, and a black witch comes out of it. “If you don’t want her to die, come with us,” the witch says. Knowing what feral wolves are capable of, I try to get to Red, and by doing so, I make a stupid mistake—I turn my back to the enemy. The witch uses her magic on me, paralyzing me temporarily, and the feral rogues drag me inside the portal, separating me from Red.

Claude protracted his claw, howled and then did a low leap towards her and before she could spin to face him, he took out her throat with his claws. She clamped her neck as blood spurted out as she fell face forward. The remaining four witches started towards Claude but Flint, Hayes and Louis had managed to get around to the rear in that time and they took them out with ease. The second warlock swung his sickle at me again, I ducked it with relative ease this time, the effect of the scream had worn out faster than the first time. Did it have something to do with the fact that she was dead now? I didn’t care. I gripped his weapon arm and snapped his wrist like a twig.

They fought with a fierce spirit but they were overpowered. It was a fight of Witches, werewolves and vampires against humans. It was a fierce battle but the humans won. They had the weapons and the witches, werewolves and others had the magic, given to them by the devil. “You need to live, Lucia! Live! Live!" Those were her mother's last words to her before she died. It's been fourteen years but it still echoed in her ears and sent chills down her spine. Her stomach rumbled as a thick putrid smell hit her in the nose. Her pupils darted around the room in search of what produced the foul smell.

"Talking to the witch when you should be taking what she knows." Everything happened too fast. Draeven launched himself at the witch, his corrupted claws extended. She threw up a shield of shimmering light, but he tore through it like paper. I heard her scream as his claws raked across her side, saw blood spray black against the snow. "No!" I didn't know why I shouted it. Didn't know why my body moved before my mind caught up. I crashed into Draeven, sending us both sprawling. My warriors stood frozen, confused, caught between orders and instinct.

Nik went ahead to tell them about the Zombie witches. I could feel the dread rolling off of them in waves. "Do you really think I will believe your bullshit?" Alpha Ralph crossed his arms. "No. But you best believe your eyes." He said and at the snap of his fingers, four slaves pushed in a large screen on wheels. It turned on and then a video started playing—a video I hadn't seen before. A man was standing next to an old woman in a black cloak. "That's Adrik and a witch—an extremely strong one."

In the middle was herb garden, small glowing orbs floated around it as blue butterflies fluttered about happily. Gerwulf placed me at one of the tables and instructed me to remove my shirt. I carefully pulled my warm sweater off and awkwardly dangled my legs from the side. "A true witch is hard to kill. Hylda thought cutting her throat would do the trick, but nope," Gerwulf turned towards me with a small glass pot in his hand. He opened it and rubbed the salve onto the bite marks. "How do you kill a witch then?" "It's much more gruesome than that. You have to pierce the heart, separate the head, and burn the body. Otherwise they'll just heal. How fast depends on how much damage they take."

I would never have known that that would be my last happy memory. The moment we stepped in the tent and the witch laid eyes on us, her smile turned slowly into a frown, staring at Tania. I suppressed a low, protective growl because i could tell she was human. Tania became aware and i could feel her mood changing. She started saying why we were there, but the witch cut her off with a head nod and a hand gesture. "There is no point asking for a future that isn't there. It is always sad when young people die, especially when they die by the thing they love the most."
