The memories came back to me, when Mother first read the book to Dahlia and me, the two of us begging her to read it every night from then, and finally to my first copy, a tattered note that was currently laying inside my suitcase.
Not a lot of people enjoyed the tale, mainly because for once, it painted wolves as the villain. So people began to boycott traditions, refusing to share the legend in a bid to not 'corrupt' the mind of the younger wolves. But it still didn't stop a copy or two from leaking out and my mother managed to snag one.
