"I’ve never heard of that kind of wolf before." Valarie’s lips curled into a knowing smile as she turned and walked toward a velvet couch placed near the fireplace. Her movements were slow and deliberate, as if each step was choreographed by wisdom and time. "Sit down," she said gently, pulling a thick, leather-bound book from a shelf. The cover was embossed with silver runes that shimmered faintly under the library’s soft lighting. "Moon Wolves are rare—rarer than Lycans, rarer than the Supreme Alphas. In fact, only two have ever existed... and both belonged to the Paleframe bloodline."

Verina’s wolves fanned out on either side of her, all of them large, dark, with glowing red eyes, crouching down, ready to hurl themselves at my pack. My wolves were equally prepared, stooping low, finding their centers of gravity so they could launch off of the ground and meet any attack midair. Or be the first to strike.

"My children?" A smile spread across her lips as she smiled. "Your children will be superwolves."

Lanzetta so that I am not tempted to make a run for it. When I get out of the shower, I run the towel over my hair as my eyes land on the leather book Ben had asked about last night. "Moon Born Wolves of Alaska," I read the title out loud in a whisper, running my fingertips over its indentations. With a quick glance at the clock on Ben's side of the bed, there are more than four hours before I have to meet with Mrs. Lanzetta. Picking up the book, I flip to the first page and start reading. It starts with what I already know. The Alaskan wolves were said to be the first created by the moon goddess and were highly respected for their connection to divinity.

"I am trying to think of the best way to say this...you are home." "What?" Clara felt her nerves rise. "You're a member of the pack, we all live here. Let me give you a tour." He started towards her and Clara raised her arms, taking a step back. "Live here? Where is here? Who is this pack?" "We're in the mountains, about fifty miles outside of Laramie, no other town is closer. The pack is all wolves, we live and work together, and are for the most part self-sufficient. We are a larger pack, numbering eighty-two now that you've joined us."

I growl stalking towards him again “Martin wait” Bryat says and I turn to him, anger still boiling in me “do you remember the story…the one they told us when we were younger. The black female wolf. If what he says is true…if Claire is the black female wolf she doesn’t get a mate. If this is true there could be more alphas coming to see if it’s true”

I can smell it on you.” “Must be your imagination. The only thing soft here is the ground after the corpses hit it.” She chuckles and fades, leaving the back of my skull blessedly empty. I straighten, scanning the new arrivals. A witch crying into her hands. Two wolves are already posturing for dominance. A human, brave or stupid, probably both, trying to look like she belongs. Typical.

I was about to jump over the wall and run to Milo when I saw something that made me stop so fast I almost fell over. Milo had finished his shifting, and where Milo had been standing, there was now a wolf. But not just any wolf. A huge red fiery wolf stood majestically in the ring. It was one of the biggest wolves, probably bigger than some alphas I had seen before. Its beautiful red fur glowed and sparkled like actual flames, reminding everyone of little lights dancing all around it like fireflies. It looked like someone had taken fire from a campfire and shaped it into a wolf.

He drinks beer while sharing stories with his friends. Vesper made her way to the second-floor library area. She stared at the mountain of books in front of her. Then she moves her way to the history section, where she pulls out a book titled: Wolves 1900. It shows a summary of the life of werewolves in the 1900s and how they protected themselves against the blood hunters. She got another book titled “Vanishing Wolf, a Memoir” Her eyes start to widen as she reads the book.
