Things Fall Apart A Novel Novels & Stories

With the start of the novel, her fingers moved in a flow, the words went in a flow, she spent her day and night in front of the laptop, 3 weeks later, her book was done, she wiped her tears as she stared at her completed manuscript. “Whoa!” Tasha yelled from behind, “What the hell have you been doing?” She blinked at the condition of the room, there were stacks of cup noodles at the side, there were tissues scattered on the floor, her best friend looked like a zombie with the dark bags under her eyes.

If I wasn’t exaggerating. Seconds later came a loud screeching sound and the bronze gate opened afterwards. The driver drove into the huge compound, driving towards the parking lots, where we alighted from the car. It was hard to come down from the car in a ball wedding gown and all I wanted was to rip it apart and be free. The silence was palpable as we made our way into a huge mansion, bigger than my papa’s. Maids and armed guards bowed their heads at us and no one, I mean, no one, said a word or even looked at me twice.

I Ying-lo listened in wonder to Iron Staff's little poem, and when he had finished, the boy's face was glowing with the love of which the fairy had spoken. “My poor, poor father and mother!” he cried; “they knew nothing of these beautiful things you are telling me. They were brought up in poverty. As they were knocked about in childhood by those around them, so they learned to beat others who begged them for help. Is it strange that they did not have hearts full of pity for you when you looked like a beggar?”

All of these incidents were pointing in a single direction, that a new dawn was on its way. Dawn, as it technically means, is the hallmark of the beginning of a new day (A new reformation of everything). People try to ignore it, by plunging it onto the back of their minds, trying to forget, yet in the core of their very beings, they know it is true. The balance which was keeping the world at its bay was so fragile that it could break at any point in time. The barriers that kept the forces in the dark at bay would finally see a crack, and the world would be flooded with its own end.

She had set her sights too high, only to see them crumble in devastation before her eyes when he had so rudely turned her away. The coach slowed in front of a square, two-story white house surrounded by a white and black picket fence. A decorative panel crowned the front door while flattened columns stood on each side. Five windows crossed the front of the house on each level, all closed behind draperies. The pitched roof displayed two chimneys on opposite ends. No smoke billowed from the inside. Isabelle’s hopes dropped. The house looked deserted. Would she be able to do what she needed by herself?

For Elise who's unemployed in her last life, she feels ashamed, these children age seven to fifteen starting to work to learn how to feed themselves. This is also the reason why she hated this novel. All the struggle , hope and tenacity of the children have built will just be in vain once the tragedy happened. It's disgusting to think that they were just side characters for the protagonist to be known. Elise who thought that sacrifices are important for every character development is exhausting to one's pov.

But suddenly, he flung my hand off with a force that stunned me. “You’ve really lost it,” he spat. “Faking a pregnancy to compete with a girl half your age? “After all these years, suddenly you’re pregnant? Right when Fran needs me? Don’t insult my intelligence.” His gaze raked over me as disappointment clouded his face. “Look at yourself! Suspicious, jealous, and always imagining the worst. “You’re nothing like the thoughtful woman you used to be. You grew up on the streets, Clea. “You could never compare to someone like Fran, who has wealth and grace.

The man stammered but was unable to bring out real words. "Get out of my sight!" Mr. Oko yelled and then hissed when he saw the man fall on his way out. "Nawa oo, this country is filled with useless people. At the sight of a gun, they lose their voice. Mtchew. Stupid people. Have they never seen a gun before?" Chinyere wanted to laugh out loud at Mr. Oko's ramble but she held it in when she realised that her father had answered the call.

She was busy thinking about her mistakes that made her this easy of a target by everyone. Once the girls were gone she continues to clean despite the pain she was feeling. She knew it. It was really bad for her to come close to those beautiful people. After cleaning she went out of the building with a portion of her face red. She's used to the pain but not with the insults. It was still hurting her even if it's going on for years now. "Keep your head up Braun, you might trip."
