I opened my eyes as the sun rays hit my face. It feels like a new day where I need to begin a new life. Something ended yesterday and something will welcome this new chapter. I remained in my position. I don't know if I still need to get up and face this another day of my life or I can just lay down here to wait for the next day or when I am ready.

Not saying very much, just taking in the morning and the slow beat of hearts that at last felt together. The day hadn’t truly begun yet. But I knew this day stood for the start of something larger than habit. It was about two folks picking to wait for one another, picking to trust in one another—even without knowing how the tale would finish. Outside a window, the sky was shy. A light blue spre͏ad across the glass, with drops of dew still holding to edges.
