Thomas said, his fingers wrapping around the watch on his wrist.
“Yeah, whatever you say,” Josh responded.
Then a voice called out and broke the connection between the two of them.
“Thomas, let’s go!” Cold, agonizing, and powerful.
Jonathan. Of course it was Jonathan.
“Gotta go, Josh,” Thomas said, looking right into Josh’s eyes. “Jonathan and I are going to the skateboard park. I’m helping him.”
He winked at Josh. The crowd in the background acted like statues who shared information in each other’s ears.
