Three Brothers Novels & Stories

"Ryder and his twin brothers helped me through that hell." A known look on Andrius passed and he led his hand out for him to take which Ryder gladly took. "Andrius, her brother." "Ryder, Elena's brother." He replied, pressing on his words. A wave of warm shock flooded within me and I kept my face neutral as possible. Why was even bothering? But, somewhere deep it felt good...good to regarded as someone's family. Andrius nodded. "Nice to meet you. It may be late but let me convey it once again--a big thanks on behalf of helping my sister."

“I know. You were always kind. Kinder than I deserved.” He nodded, then left. I sank against the counter, drained. In two days, both Stone brothers had walked back into my life. The storm was only beginning. “Mommy?” Ethan appeared in the doorway, eyes serious. “Are you sad?” I wiped my face quickly. “Just tired. Are you hungry?” He slipped his small hand into mine. “The man who was here—he looked like Daddy.” My chest tightened. “They’re brothers. Sometimes brothers look alike.” “Like me and Eva,” he said.

The word brothers kept repeating in Sophia’s mind again and again. She looked at the three men, Alexander, Damian, and Lorenzo. searching their faces for anything she recognized, something she could believe. “No,” she said quietly, her hand shaking as she held the knife. “That can’t be true. I would remember. I would know if I had brothers.” Alexander’s expression softened, but there was sadness in his eyes. “You were very little when it happened,” he said gently. “We were older. You might remember us as the boys who played with you in the garden, who built blanket forts, who read you bedtime stories.”

The minute I stand in front of them, all the air is whooshed out of my lungs. One of them smells like sage, another smells like citrus and the last one smells like mulled wine. All their scents mingle together so beautifully, it’s hard not to want to smell the air again. “Strip”, the third brother orders, the one with the blue eyes, dark hair at the roots and strikingly ash blonde hair at the edges. “Let’s see if you are worth not killing everyone for”, the chocolate-haired brother adds. “No. Take me anywhere you want but I’m not going to strip in front of my family, in front of all of them”, I bark.

He asked, “Who is this Slim Three?” Don said, “He’s a local in Phoenicia, ranked third among six brothers. All this while, he has done all sorts of petty crimes. The first, second, and fifth brothers were executed for committing crimes. The remaining three brothers started a business of kidnapping and extortion, wandering around all the major clubs in Phoenicia all year round and taking on a lot of dirty work. They have a great reputation in the underground circle.” The more he listened, the more worried Philip became.

What a great first impression. “Sorry, didn’t mean to startle you. I am Jonathan. This is my brother, Jake. Jordan invited us over.” While Jonathan was definitely good looking, it was Jake who had caught my eye as the brothers had walked up. “Nice to meet both of you, I am Amalia” I replied, hoping to pull myself together and not continue to look ridiculous. “Jordan is inside getting the meat ready to put on the grill.” I motioned toward the back door. “I will go see if she needs any help,” Jonathan responded as he walked into the house, leaving Jake and I outside.

“We’ll need to support each other and make sure no one takes advantage of us.” Nicky tugged on his sleeve again, but I didn’t catch his question. I was too busy trying to process what all of this meant. We were rich. That much was clear. But it didn’t feel like the windfall Mother made it out to be. It felt like a gilded cage I hadn’t realized I’d walked into. And then there were the brothers. The Alcatraz brothers weren’t dangerous in the obvious sense. They weren’t the type to start bar fights or flash weapons too easily, though I believed they carried fire arms. No, they were dangerous in ways that were much harder to see until it was too late.

Ella hesitated again. “No one speaks about it openly anymore.” Which, naturally, only made me more curious. “All three brothers left Shadowfen together years ago,” she explained quietly. “Alpha Valerio, Alpha Dax and Alpha Asher. They were gone for weeks and whatever happened during that mission…” She stopped for a second before finishing softly, “they didn’t come back the same.” A cold feeling slid down my spine.

In the dimly lit study of Rheis, the three brothers, Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon, stood shoulder to shoulder, their imposing presence reduced to that of mere boys. The three gentlemen stood shoulder to shoulder, their anxious gazes fixed upon their mother, anticipating her forthcoming reprimand. The memory of when this peculiar occurrence last transpired eluded them entirely. In the vast expanse of their separate lives, the three brothers had gradually become estranged from the familiar rhythms that once bound them together in their youth.

I suddenly turn around and can't stop smiling. I leap forward and take Matteo, Elio and Santo's third brother, in my arms. The resemblance between the three brothers is undeniable. They are all tall, dark, and typically Mediterranean. The three brothers have inherited eyes of a blue so dark that they seem almost black depending on the light. In addition, they all exude natural charisma on different scales. As the eldest, Elio inspires authority. Santo, the second brother, provokes fear with his mere presence. Finally, Matteo, the last one, is a born seducer.
