I was grateful that the hallway was quiet, but my retreat didn't last. As I passed a corner, I collided with something hard. A man's chest. I stumbled back trying to gain my balance before I looked at who it was; I could see three men standing Infront me. The three Alpha brothers. Aidan, Bryan, and Callum. I could feel the crazy tension between them; an unknown force made the air heavy. They were standing in a formation I couldn't understand. They looked at each other with fury, a silent battle brewing between them.

"How Corvin lied to him, how he built a whole eleven years around that lie. Are you telling me you and Calix did the same thing, separately, without ever once comparing notes?" "We never talked about it. Not once, in three years." I shook my head slowly, still disbelieving it myself even now. "Three brothers, carrying the same weight, each of us assuming we were the only one foolish enough to feel it, too ashamed to ever ask the others if they felt it too."

But knowing that didn't stop what was happening. The four brothers shifted into their wolves before my eyes, massive black beasts with eyes like molten gold. They tore at each other with savage fury, ripping and biting and clawing, their snarls echoing through the dark forest like thunder. Knox lunged for Raven's throat. Raven slammed into Nathan's side. Nathan crashed into Caiden, sending them both tumbling across the ground. It was chaos—absolute, uncontrollable chaos. The guards who had accompanied the brothers stood frozen, their faces pale with shock. No one dared to intervene. No one was foolish enough to step between the Bloodmoon brothers when they were in a frenzy.

Katrina replied, taking a sip of her beer. “Well, they have the same last name, so they must be related.” Brian stated, taking a second shot. He obviously wasn’t concerned about getting drunk tonight. I shrugged. “Most companies like this, that are still somewhat family run, have family members in many positions. Siblings, children, all sorts of family members. The last company I worked for had family members in all leadership positions. The father was CEO, his son was CFO, his brother was over HR, and a smattering of relatives worked in other positions.”

“Don't be afraid. I'm sure your brother will be there and even though he's a jerk, he won't let any else that isn't him or Sean mess with you and I'll have your back. I guess she is right. My brother may like to make stupid remarks about me, but he only allows Sean to go along with it. If anyone else tries, he shuts them down hard. Last year he broke a boy's nose for calling me a tease. Hopefully tonight doesn't take a horrible turn.

And the thought of it jerks my spine and ticks my brain in the wrong way. And not just three losers from somewhere in the realm. No, that would be a too great miracle to ask from the Goddess. These three men are rogues. These men are alphas with too much baggage on their backs to be my daughter’s mates. I know the Kincaid brothers. Hell, I’m upto date with every alpha in the realm whether they know me or not and these guys are the worst of the alphas to ever exist. They are fucking brutes. They are fucking reckless.

"And no, that wasn't my boyfriend. He's one of my triplets brothers." "Brothers?" Brandon asked in surprise. "I guess I missed the introduction earlier. I should probably leave." "Leave? Why?" Diana asked with a frown. "Well, I heard some talks from a few shifters earlier." Brandon confessed. "They said you're off limits, that your brothers are overprotective." Diana smacked her face with her palm. This was exactly what she had been trying to avoid. "I think you misunderstood them," she said finally. To understand my brothers and I still don't know them.” He was staring at Lucas and I could feel there was something serious going on between the two of them. The intensity with which his eyes were fixated on Lucas’ face made me curious about what he meant. Among all the brothers, Caspian and Lucas were the only ones who didn't interact like the others did, except for Ian, of course. “Everyone thinks they are doing the right thing, but most of us don't even know what is right and what is wrong,” I added, trying to fight the sleep clawing its way up my eyes.

“You could have done that and also planned to do the same to me, so you could have Teresa all for yourself, hmm?!” “What?” Bennett breathed. “Keller, that’s a very serious accusation! Bennett would never!” “Oh, you think so?! I think…” I hunched over, blocking my ears. The verbal fight had become too much that I had to press my ears close with my hands. What had come over the three brothers? Were they possessed? What are all these fights about me? We had created a scene, and most of the guards and omegas in the alpha house were secretly watching us.

Lily burst out laughing before walking toward the sleeping Taylor, her eyes brimming with tears. "I'm so sorry, Taylor. Your father is to blame for abandoning us. You'd be an orphan if you lived, so you should come to hell with us. You see, that way, our family of three can still be together, Taylor." She raised the dagger and drove it into Taylor's chest. He didn't even have the time to cry out—he simply drifted away into a permanent sleep. She then slit her own throat with the dagger once Taylor died and collapsed into the pool of blood.
