Permainan ini dimulai ketika beberapa mahasiswa dari Universitas swasta ternama mendapatkan sebuah amplop berisi permainan sudoku secara bergiliran. Sang pengirim menuliskan kalimat tantangan sekaligus ancaman di bawah kotak permainan. Beberapa dari penerima tantangan itu sengaja mengabaikan peringatan yang terlihat konyol tersebut. Mereka berakhir hilang secara misterius, dan beberapa dari mereka ditemukan tewas dalam keadaan mengenaskan. Sudoku adalah kutukan! "Selesaikan dengan benar atau mati!" Semua adalah kunci, tak ada yang sia-sia dan bukan hanya candaan semata.
