Ticci Toby X Reader Novels & Stories

It was laced with wolfbane and would hurt more. “I can hurt you more than the alpha you're trying to protect, you know?” I said, giving him a cynical laugh. I started towards him and he must have seen I meant business, because he started to talk. “My name is Toby. I was sent here to give a message, by Alpha Ridge.” he said. At the mention of his name, with his title beside it, I gritted my teeth, almost growling. “I know all that already. How the hell did you get here!” I asked him.

My nose crinkles on impact. Abby rolls her neck and fixes me with a look I know all too well. “We’ve been mates. Pissing me off is just Toby’s kink.” “I love it,” he agrees, and I take a deeper gulp of my drink. “There’s something seriously wrong with both of you.”

He says as he perches on the end of the bed back to me but head swivels round to ask me the question. I tell him to put anything on. We small talk for a little while while he sets a movie up. I find out his name is Toby and he is doing this guarding job to earn more, apparently all jobs under Argon are paid well but this one is ridiculous amounts though he didn't say how much. Toby has a pup on the way with his fated mate Adaline who he found a year ago.

“It’s just been… heavy at home.” “Well, heavy is what I’m here to fix,” Toby said, bumping his shoulder against mine. “The guys are heading out to the cove tonight. Bonfire, cheap beer, maybe some questionable guitar playing. You should come. Get some sand in your shoes and forget about the ‘Titan of Industry’ for five minutes.” The invitation felt like a life raft. A night under the stars with people my own age, talking about music and midterms instead of the weight of a secret that could destroy three lives.

Licking the seams of my lips, my gaze drops to his mouth, and instantly I feel sick to my stomach. I hate that after all these years, he is still able to read me like an open book and stroke the desire that still yearns for him even after all this time and after everything that has happened between us. “I’m not in the mood for your bullshit, Landry.” I watch as his gaze drops to my lips too, “I can get you in the mood.” “I’m not interested.” Tobias releases me, standing to his full height, and I am forced to step away from him.
