Luna To Alpha Ace

Luna To Alpha Ace

His voice was the first thing I registered. Soft and worried and so achingly familiar. But there were other voices too. Dozens of them, all talking at once in my head like a radio stuck between stations. *Did you see what happened at the border?* *The alpha marked his mate.* *She's human. How is that possible?* *Training starts at dawn.* *I need to pick up groceries.* The voices crashed over me in waves, each one as clear as if the person were standing right next to me. I tried to focus on Ace's face, but the mental chatter was overwhelming.

THE BIKER'S NEW FOUND MATE

THE BIKER'S NEW FOUND MATE

No features at all except two dark spaces where eyes should be. "Surprised?" X's voice came from speakers embedded in the synthetic flesh. "You expected someone you knew. Someone you trusted. A dramatic revelation that would explain everything." The featureless face tilted. "But I am nobody, Eva. I erased my own face decades ago. Replaced it with this—adaptable synthetic tissue that can become anyone. Or no one. Perfect disguise. Perfect anonymity." "That is impossible—"

Loathed Wife of the Wicked Billionaire

Loathed Wife of the Wicked Billionaire

"Faces... a woman's face, flowing raven hair, and her voice echoing through my mind. It feels hazy, like fragments of a dream." My heart raced even faster as her words painted a familiar portrait. Athara's face, her cascading hair, and voice... it was all there, fitting into the puzzle of my memories. But how did Eliana fit into this picture? Was it truly possible that she carried a piece of Athara within her?

The Seven Faces of Death

The Seven Faces of Death

Russell’s show - 7pm Joey book launch meeting - 10am-7pm Sarah overtime - finish at 6pm Rose bank meeting - finish late? Alice - job interviews (see diary) “We’re going to have to meet at Russell’s show.” I said. “Curtain’s up at seven but none of us will finish work before six.” “How did that happen?” Dad asked. “I’ve got a book coming next week, Rose’s firm is trying to get this bank renovation, you’ve got a parents’ evening, Sarah’s working late so everything’s ready for when she goes on maternity leave, and Alice is trying to hire a new editor.”

Till Worlds Do Us Part

Till Worlds Do Us Part

He held her hand and said something into her ear, which made her giggle. I looked down at my phone, ignoring the two happy faces on my wallpaper staring back at me as I turned the music right up. I pulled out the novel my mom got me. In bold cursive letters, the title read 'Adapt Teacher'. Although I had read this book twice already, I still felt unprepared. I was excited but I still felt a little anxious.

She Has My Face

She Has My Face

I won three competitions last week. Margaret chuckled and hit the answer button. If it was a scammer she’d let Trey tell him off. ‘Hello, who am I speaking to?’ There was silence on the other end then crumbling paper followed by a woman’s voice. ‘Margaret? It is you, I’d never forget your voice.’ Margaret’s face fell, she turned to her husband with wide eyes. ‘What’s wrong? Who is it?’ ‘Who— who is this?’ Margaret backed into the restaurant.

Beatrice Beecham's Ship of Shadows

Beatrice Beecham's Ship of Shadows

She replaced the bricks, sealing the shoebox inside its sanctuary where, in her mind, it would be safe until her need to revisit it again. By the time she stood and made her way back to the hatch, her mind was on what she was going to prepare for dinner. It was while she pondered on whether Lucas liked carrots or not that the face appeared in the air. Tamsin took a step backwards, her hands going up to her mouth to stifle a scream. The face was one dimensional, a mask made up of dust motes and sunlight. The features were indistinguishable other than eyes and a mouth that moved as though manipulated by the shifting air about it. The lips parted, revealing only the room beyond the face, and wh

His to Destroy, Mine to Save

His to Destroy, Mine to Save

A chill rippled through me as fear tightened low in my gut. What if this is the end of us? If there’s even an “us” left to lose. "You wanted to talk," I said, my voice barely above a whisper as I closed the door behind me. This is it. The moment that either breaks us or heals the wreckage we've become. His face gave nothing away, but his eyes, God, his eyes, held the weight of everything we hadn’t said. For the first time in weeks, we faced each other without avoidance as a shield.

she says quietly before slipping inside, and Tilk turns towards me with a confused expression. "Gentlemen," he asks, and I shrug. "Maybe she thinks we are soft," I reply as we begin walking back, and he grunts before rubbing his face. "Maybe humans are too complicated. I really felt like I connected with her, but I don't understand. Why is she so upset," Till asks, and I look at him from the corner of my eye. "Maybe we both need to research humans more," I mumble, and he nods. We don't speak to one another again, and at the gate, we separate.

I’ve now read this book twice. It was fantastic the first time and I caught things I missed the second time. Great storyline, no rushing through the story and I felt like it ended with no loose ends. Can’t wait to read about more of the characters in the next book!
