The dream unfolded slowly, its details creeping into her senses until she could no longer tell if she was asleep or awake. Lyra stood at the edge of a world draped in perpetual twilight. The sky above her was neither day nor night, but something in between, with an eerie, purplish hue that cast long shadows over the landscape. The air was thick, almost oppressive, and the silence was unnerving. No sound of traffic, no distant hum of technology, nothing but a stillness that made her feel like she was walking through a forgotten graveyard.

The coldest and loneliest area in the west of York bordered by the Greenleaves forest, and if you walked further south, you would see the ruins of Willeth. There were no humans living in this area due to its poor condition, and even animals were rarely seen in this place.

I said, glancing at Lucas. He looked up at me, surprise flickering across his face. “What do you mean?” “I’m a Daylighter,” I said simply. “The sun doesn’t burn me, and Vervain doesn’t weaken me as much. I can handle it.” Lucas’s eyes widened. “Why didn’t you tell me this before?” I shrugged. “Didn’t think it mattered. But now… it might be our only way out of here.” He stood up, his posture tense. “What are you planning?”

Hi guys! Wow! I feel like the last chapter has been a long time coming, and for that I am sorry. For those of you who do not follow me on social media, my family has had a run of bad luck with illness over the last month, most recently that we have all been isolating with covid! I feel thankful that we were all able to get through it reletively easily, but it has taken me a few weeks to recover, hence the delay. But Mists of Time has now offically come to a close, and will hopefully be marked as complete during the course of the next week of so.

Inside were diagrams of realms overlapping each other like threads in a tapestry. Old Realm. Divine Plane. Mortal Realm. Abyssal Void.
