Rebel snarled. The coward refused to look at him. His eyes were squeezed shut, and his head was turned as if he couldn’t meet Rebel’s eyes, lest he find death there. “Clint, sir. Clint.” Rebel snarled. “And who am I, Clint?” Clint whimpered. “King. You’re king,” he cried. “King of the Misfit Wolves.” “That’s right.” Rebel traced the dull edge of the blade over the other wolf’s throat. “And whose kindness allows you to live?”

"Nothing personal, little Luna. You just happen to be in the way of my destiny." "No!" I try to scramble backward but the silver ropes burn and hold me in place. "Please, don't do this!" "It'll be quick. I promise." He raises the machete above his head. "Just close your eyes." "No, no, please!" I'm screaming now, pulling at the ropes even though they're burning my skin. "Somebody help me!" The door to the shack explodes inward. Two massive wolves storm through the broken doorway, snarling and snapping. One is black as night with green eyes. The other is dark brown with eyes like warm chocolate.

Tia says. “Now, let us get you two loaded up and get this party started. We have some wolves to kill, no offense, Aspen and some people to save and we are wasting time sitting around here chatting, ” Jeb says.

Jean had been walking stiffly back to her child’s room, and behind her, a monstrously large man marched after her. His tousled black hair stood every which way one could imagine, he wore a large black leather jacket that looked strained across his broad shoulders. His ice-blue eyes stared coldly at the back of the witch’s head. Both Aiden and Griffon’s heads snapped up like a bloodhound scenting their prey, hearts soaring at the melodious sound. Their wolves bashed against their cages in excitement, screaming ‘mate’ in their exhilaration. Aiden had never heard such a sweet sound before; it was almost had if little bells rang in his ears.

For the first time in days, I was genuinely happy. Maybe coming to this party wasn't such a bad idea after all. After the selection ended, the Alpha King stepped onto the podium. The hall immediately fell silent. “Thank you all for coming,” he began. “I wish you safe travels to your respective packs. So I have an important announcement to make.” Alpha Ronan stood beside him. The moment my eyes met his, he had a pleading expression. I had a bad feeling regarding the announcement. “My son has found his mate,” he said, sounding disappointed, “but unfortunately, he's going to reject her because she's not only wolfless, she uses strange powers, so she cannot be the Luna Queen because she will be

Oh, scratch that. I meant a pet… Rogue,” She pointed, flashing her eyes at me. She finally ended her shenanigans, revealing her true self at last. “The Queen and her son have been searching for that beast, wondering how he keeps disappearing without a trace! But who would have

disputes Olive, “and I should know, I’ve treated many Ironclaws over the years. I saw your cub just last week River, if I recall. It doesn’t seem you bunch will ever learn.” My cousin snorts, “That’s Clay’s doing. He told Nyx he could grow five inches overnight if he swallowed a magic pinto bean. My cub ate a whole bag and couldn’t poop for a week. And don’t get me started on the smell.” That sounded like Clay alright. It seemed my cousin was up to his old tricks. And the newest Ironclaws weren’t spared from his fuckery. A smile crosses my lips and I catch Sloane’s eye. She gives me a gentle smile in return, her fingers covered in salve, holding them a few inches above my skin. She hesitate
