Gavin’s mouth opened, but no sound came out.
He was trapped. Checkmate.
Admit Cooper was a cat, and admit a cat can’t rape a human.
Deny Cooper was a cat, and admit they faked the DNA evidence.
I watched him squirm. A dry, contemptuous laugh escaped my lips.
“It seems Mr. Gavin needs a moment to think. Allow me to clarify for you.”
I turned to the judge.
“Your Honor, a moment ago, the plaintiff questioned this cat’s identity.”
