My Bully
Toby finally let go of my shirt and looked at me with tears in his eyes.
"I'm sorry," he said softly. "I didn't mean to take it out on you. It's just that...I'm scared.”
As I stood there, watching Toby cry, my heart went out to him. He was clearly in a lot of pain, and I could sense his anguish as he spoke about his inability to protect someone he loved. I could feel the weight of his emotions as if they were my own.
Without thinking, I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him into a tight embrace. He buried his face in my shoulder, his tears soaking my shirt as he wept. I could feel the deep sadness and frustration radiating from him, and it broke my heart to see him in such pain.
