Todd Harding Novels & Stories

Someone popular. I didn't have to wait long to find out. I heard the name ‘Todd’ and the words, ‘Terrible, gnarly, police, burial.’ as I walked the long distance to the lecture halls. The closer I got, the more the hysteria became apparent. I could hear loud wailing and screaming. At the entrance to the lecture halls stood a memorial stand. His name has been Todd Hanley, and judging from the piles and piles of flowers and cards and the sheer number of people crowded around, crying in grief, I could tell this Todd person was not only popular but also influential.

Vicky obviously looks like she won the lottery with that kiss and the fake makeup on her face. “Blake, this is Miss Goodwin and her students from Virginia hospital in the south. She asked me to show them around and why people drink, some that get rushed into the ED never speak about their problems and why they have alcohol, problems.” Emily’s eyes are glaring at me while Vicky sits on my lap, sharing a joint with me. “Okay, so we’ve seen it all. Thank you, Tommy.” Miss Goodwin said in a rush, probably the smell of the joint.

“Ivy’s father, Blake’s father… and one other man.” I glance properly at the screen now. “This man actually has what it takes to lead,” Hardin continues. “If he wins, life for ordinary citizens could genuinely improve. Less corruption. Less violence. Less control from families like mine.” I look back at him carefully. “And that’s who you’re supporting?” He nods once. “Alexander Stiles.” The name sits heavily between us. “My father wants Ivy’s father to win,” Hardin says coldly. “At the same time, he’s pretending to support Kennedy Jordan publicly so he can manipulate both sides.”

News of the wedding was still online and more pictures of Hardin and Emma were popping up on all social media platforms, the news didn't anger her, it was the comment left by viewers that angered her. They were looking forward to the wedding and hashtag #HardinandEmma was trending online. She flipped the page trying hard to concentrate as a knock fell on the door followed by the landline phone on her desk ringing. "Come in," she ordered before receiving the call on the landline. Yes, she said. "Ma'am, I just wanted to inform you that Mr. Hardin Scott is heading to your office now, he insisted and in his condition…" The voice of her secretary slowly faded as the door opened and Hardin stepped

Sheriff Hardin cursed as he steadied his hands on the trigger Bernard raised his hands in the air and turned around slowly, his eyes and Hardin finally met. “So it’s been you this whole time, killing innocent teenagers and wrecking lovely families all in the name of some bullshit science and making a goddamn fucking history that nobody gives a shit about” Sheriff Hardin scoffed

Todd shouted as he rushed down to his aide. The aide blocked Mr. Cypher and faced Todd. “I’m sorry, you can’t see him right now” he bellowed to Todd angrily. “ I think I am seeing him already. You just have to get out of the way” Todd wanted to brush him aside. “Hey, as you can see he is having a bad day. Can you just get out of here” the aide would not let him say anything to him. “I can make him win the polls” Todd shouted hard enough to be heard by Mr. Cypher.

As he thought of that, he slapped his mouth hard and cursed at himself, “You fool! You’re such a fool!” However, no one paid attention to his self-harm. Everyone was focused on the auction, eager to get the pill. No one was intimidated by the six point eight billion US dollars at all. A wealthy man from the United States instructed his subordinate to raise a hand. Sitting motionlessly, he said, “I offer seven billion!” He was a forty-year-old American, a renowned internet entrepreneur from Silicon Valley named Todd. Todd’s company went public and was listed on Nasdaq a few years ago. Now, its market capitalization surpassed hundreds of billions of US dollars.
