Lilith III
Snatching a torch from one of the columns, I stared into the darkness,
“Lilith— whatever you do, don't look into the face of the spirits, they are soul suckers, they feed on contentment and will drain you of your happiness, do you understand?”
“Yes— I understand,” her voice trembled.
“Good, now can you please give me a hand with this,” I held the torch towards her, watching it light up from a touch of her fingertips,
“It's time,” I mumbled.
It was pitch black with no signs of life, even the grass was burnt crisp, snapping beneath our feet, pointing ahead of me, I turned to Lilith,
“Use your demon eyes to look, but once we reach the scarecrow, we should be safe,”
