Matched (Mortal, Book Three)
Standing, I hand Damon the blanket, which he returns to his backpack along the with rope he lassoed and threw around me.
"It's weird," Alec says, "but I'm not hungry at all here."
I cock my head at him. Is he talking about hungry for human food ... or hungry for blood?
Maybe both. I'm not hungry either. It's strange, but apparently, we don't need to sleep, eat, or drink in this dimension.
"Let's keep going straight." Damon sets off, and Alec and I fall into step behind him.
"You sure you're okay?" Alec's hand touches mine, and a delicious shiver flies through me.
