The continuation of the story Across the Desk. The Second book in the Insanity Series. Max and Deanna still have a lot to get through from the action of her brother/father David like the funerals of her parents and sister. they also have the family fallout that has been waiting around them as the truth comes out about what Deanna really is. The trial of the century will soon take place and nothing will be left in the dark with the Watson's family secrets. How will the couple cope with everything and still remain together?

Power is always associated with trouble. Sometimes it is great enough to save us from trouble, sometimes it isn't. Sometimes it is so great that trouble can't get close and sometimes its greatness is the reason why trouble comes. Sometimes it's not about how you use it, sometimes it's about the power itself. The mere existence of a certain power could stir up fear, awe, hatred and envy depending on who percieved it and how they do.

Ich spüre, wie mir langsam schwarz vor Augen wird. Irgendwann blieb mir keine Luft mehr – und ich starb dort unten. Drei Tage später kamen meine Brüder mit Lilli aus dem Krankenhaus zurück. Da dachten sie plötzlich wieder an mich. Aber da war ich längst tot–erstickt in diesem engen Keller.
