The Two Of Us

The Two Of Us

Alice entered the massage room, her senses immediately enveloped by the soothing ambiance. The space was dimly lit, with soft, golden light emanating from small sconces on the walls. The gentle sound of a waterfall played in the background, mingling with the faint aroma of essential oils—lavender, eucalyptus, and hints of citrus. The masseuse, a serene woman with a calming presence, greeted Alice with a warm smile. “Good afternoon, Mrs. Sanders. My name is Lila, and I’ll be your masseuse today. You’ve selected a full-body relaxation massage, correct?”

Whispers of a Second Chance

Whispers of a Second Chance

I continued driving, the noise from the party spilling through the phone, a stark contrast to the quiet hum of the car. "Are you still there, Tyra?" Trisha's voice, tinged with concern, broke through the noise. I cleared my throat, trying to calm the butterflies in my stomach. "Ah, yeah," I replied, my voice a little shaky. "Can we talk some other time? I'm driving right now." "Oh! I'm so sorry! Drive safely, Tyra. See you soon!" Trisha said, her voice suddenly warm and reassuring. The call ended, leaving me alone with the quiet hum of the car and the echoing questions swirling in my mind.

Two Months Before Leaving You

Two Months Before Leaving You

“But that meant you were going to have to argue those two for hours. Time is of essence, Kara, and we really had another meeting after that. I only intervened because I knew we needed to get you all out of there quickly.” “Oh, okay,” I replied, flustered for having that misunderstanding. “I’m sorry.” Axel smiled. “Don’t be. When are you sending in the designs?” “Tomorrow morning. I just need to polish them up just a little bit and create a few more sample color schemes before sending them.” “Great, I’m sure Terra’s looking forward to it.” That evening before leaving work, I closed my work computer after making sure everything was saved, locked my office, and left.

THE PRICE OF LETTING GO

THE PRICE OF LETTING GO

I said. “There is a gallery retrospective. The sculptor who did the Tuesday piece. The original is on loan through the end of the month.” A short pause. “I saw the listing last week. I thought about calling then. I waited until I was sure I wanted to say it.” I looked at the Tuesday sculpture on the windowsill. The suspended cup. The liquid mid-fall. The whole thing frozen at the exact second before impact. My hand was flat on the counter and I had not put it there.

Two Days Before The Wedding

Two Days Before The Wedding

“I’d like to meet your family someday. I want to do this right… to make it as real as it can get.” My insides ache. I wish things were simpler. “I’d like that too, Xander,” I say gently. “But… I have to be sure that things are better between us.” He nods. “I understand.” “Thank you for understanding.” We fall silent. Comfortable silence. Allowing the music fuel our movements. Xander’s hand tightens on my back as he draws me closer into his comforting warmth. “Angel?” “Yes?” “Tomorrow is a busy day for me,” he swallows, “but can I take you on a date later at night?”

Best Days Ever

Best Days Ever

He looked me in the eyes for a few moments before asking, "What's wrong, Babe?" "I'm sorry, I just had a lot on my mind. A lot is happening all at once." "I know that's why we have nights like tonight. To take a break from all of it and let it go for a moment. Just let go of it. It will be there in the morning, Babe. Make love to me. Be with me here, now." "You're right." I smiled at him and pushed him forward and onto his back, then rode him as if I hadn't a care in the world.

🎶 I've found peace in your violence can show me there's no point in trying, I'm that one and I've been silent for so long 🎶 SILENCE- MARSHMELLO FT KHALID. It's Saturday, and its my shift at Tucker's. Six to Ten PM is just the best time at this place. Aside from the steady and slightly crowded nature of this building, every other thing seems cool. The first two hours of the shift I'm behind the counter, the last two am waiting tables.

I never realized it said the end....how can it end like that? I really hope it's not the ending....I've been sitting here waiting for more but I just realized it said the end at the bottom and I guess I didn't pay attention to that last time I looked but it stinks!!!!

I absolutely love this book. I actually quit reading another book to finish this one. I could do without the song lyrics in the beginning of the chapters but it's obviously not enough to stop me from enjoying it. I truly hope there is a second book 😊.

The Longing Too Late

The Longing Too Late

"Don't touch it. This is the promise necklace Caleb gave me, and it's the only thing his mother left him. When I said I was giving it to you, I was only trying to provoke him. Did you actually think I'd give you something this important?" Ryan's face darkened with frustration and anger. "What the hell does that mean?" he demanded. "A few days ago, you had me act with you and make those sounds on purpose so Caleb would hear us. You skipped the engagement party ten times. Wasn't that because you hated him and didn't want to marry him?" Samantha looked down and sighed deeply, holding the necklace firmly. "It was a test," she explained. "I needed to know Caleb wouldn't give up on me, no matter w

Taste Me Like It's Our Last Day On Earth

Taste Me Like It's Our Last Day On Earth

"Just for tonight. Let yourself have this. It's allowed." I let myself have it. No bracing, no waiting for the floor to drop out from under me. Just the plain, uncomplicated pleasure of a good day that stayed good all the way to the end. Across the lobby, briefcase in hand, Octavia watches us cross toward the doors. Not hostile, exactly. Calculating, the way she always is now.... filing something away, the way she always does. I don't let it touch the evening. Not tonight. For the first time in longer than I can remember, I got to just be good at something, in front of everyone, without anyone finding a way to make it small.
