INICIAR SESIÓNAt twenty-one, she found her fated mate. At twenty-five, he rejected her for political power and wealth. Now, two years later, she has rebuilt what little life she has left among humans, studying to become a teacher and returning to her former pack only for the sister she refuses to abandon. But when the Red River Pack falls under Lycan attack, her quiet survival is shattered. The Alpha is killed, her former mate rises in his place, and she is sacrificed over to the Lycans as a spoil of war. The Lycan Prince recognizes her as his mate. For Lycans, the mate bond is sacred, unbreakable, and fatal to deny. For werewolves, second chances are rare but possible. For Lycan royalty, a wolf mate is an abomination. But as the Ascension Celebration approaches, the Prince’s thirtieth birthday forces him toward a public choice: duty, throne, or mate. Together, they navigate secrets, lies, manipulation and proof that everything Lycans and werewolves believe about their separation may have been carefully shaped by those who feared unity most. The bond between them is no longer just forbidden. It is dangerous. Because if a Lycan Prince and a rejected werewolf can prove the Moon Goddess never divided their people, then an entire kingdom could be shattered.

Some are carved into stone for generations to admire. Others are whispered around fires until they become legend. And then there are the stories buried so deeply that even time forgets where they were laid to rest.
For centuries, the Kingdom of Lunareth has stood beneath the watchful gaze of the Moon Goddess, divided by tradition yet united beneath an uneasy peace. The Lycans rule from towering castles of stone and silver, believing themselves chosen to lead. The werewolves guard the forests and valleys beyond, loyal to their packs and the ancient bonds that have shaped their lives for generations. Humans walk among them, blissfully unaware that monsters only exist in the stories they tell their children.
Each race believes it knows its place.
Each believes history has already been written.
But history has a habit of surviving in unexpected places.
Far from the royal court, a young woman who has already lost everything has spent the last two years building a quiet life among humans. She has traded pack politics for lesson plans, royal expectations for classroom walls, and the crushing weight of rejection for the simple hope that tomorrow might hurt a little less than yesterday.
She has no desire to become part of history.
A prince has spent his entire life preparing for it.
Raised to inherit a kingdom, he has learned that duty always comes before desire. Every decision, every alliance, every sacrifice has been made in the name of preserving the peace his ancestors fought to achieve. Every lesson has reinforced the same truth: a ruler's heart belongs to the kingdom long before it belongs to himself.
He has never considered that the greatest threat to the realm may not be an invading army, a rival ruler, or a rebellion waiting to ignite.
It may be the past itself.
Across forests older than memory and mountains that have watched kingdoms rise and fall, forgotten truths are beginning to stir. Ancient promises lie hidden beneath ruined temples. Songs have lost verses no one remembers removing. Histories have been rewritten so many times that even scholars can no longer separate fact from tradition. Somewhere between what was recorded and what was remembered, an entire generation forgot who they once were.
Most believe peace was built through strength.
Few stop to wonder what it truly cost.
As old secrets begin to surface, loyalties will be tested, impossible choices will be demanded, and a single discovery will force kingdoms to question everything they thought they knew about themselves. Friends will become strangers. Long-held traditions will stand trial against forgotten truths. And the future of two races may ultimately rest in the hands of those least expected to change it.
Because some lies are powerful enough to build nations.
And some truths are powerful enough to bring them crashing down.
Beneath the same moon, a rejected wolf searching for a place to belong and a prince burdened by a crown he never chose are about to cross paths. Neither knows the other exists. Neither realizes their lives have been moving toward the same moment for years. Yet when fate finally brings them together, they will discover that destiny is rarely as simple as the stories they've been told—or as forgiving.
Some bonds are chosen.
Some are destined.
And some have the power to rewrite history itself. Copyright ©️ 2026 Miss L Writes and Ember Mantel Productions
When the past finally finds its voice, the future of Lunareth will never be the same.
4 - CaelumI take a deep breath. The pre-dawn air is my favorite thing. It’s clean and crisp no matter the season and it isn’t tainted by the work going on in the kingdom. The bakery and restaurants haven’t started their morning ovens. No one is driving across the territory. I can hear the farmers beginning to get equipment out which will give the air a taint of diesel within the hour. The castle is about to start waking up and running like the machine it is. We don’t have any current guests so the pomp and circumstance can be left out for the first time in a long time. Copyright ©️ 2026 Miss L Writes and Ember Mantel ProductionsWorking with my father has shown me much of the world. I see how Lycans, Werewolves, Witches, Warlocks, Vampires and other creatures navigate the world amongst humans. We are all superior to their weak and frail little bodies, but what they lack in natural strength and abilities they make up for in fear and retaliation. That fear has spurred some of the most
3 - Rowan“Sissy!” Hazel calls as she runs down the steps. She is twenty-one and I am twenty seven and the nickname will never stop, I hope. I take another deep breath to calm the low level of pain that lives in my muscles the entire time I am in Red River. I’m not sure if it is like this for all mates. Or, maybe, because I only got out a portion of my rejection acceptance before I collapsed, I have more pain than most. I do know that I feel better the further I am from Declan. Copyright ©️ 2026 Miss L Writes and Ember Mantel ProductionsI shake my head of the thought and step out of the car just in time to catch my sister in a bear hug. “How are you Hazel?” I take in her sweet scent and I am instantly calm. My baby sis has always been able to keep me level headed.“You said you might come tomorrow. What are you doing here? You never visit early – or at all – if you can help it.” She gives me a look that makes me think of our mother. “You hate it here. I thought you might find an excu
2 - RowanI both love and hate shopping. On the one hand, going with Shelly is like being with a clothing CIA agent. She can spot the best deals on the best clothes. On the other hand, to do that we go to about 20 thrift stores all over Briar Hollow. Being a college town, there are so many to choose from. Sometimes we’ll even go back to a shop more than once. My brain hurts from trying things on over and over to get the right looks and standing there watching her do the mental gymnastics to figure out how to get more than three styles out of each piece of clothing. She should have been a fashion designer, but teaching is more consistent and stable. Stability is the one thing we both need in our lives right now. One thing most of the people in my building have in common is we all come with a history and baggage. Some talk about it, others, like me, don’t and both situations are acceptable. Everyone here wanted to work for a chance to be better and have better. That’s all that matters.
1 - RowanI smack my alarm. It is far too early for this. Even for a werewolf, I drank too much last night, but it was worth it. We graduated! Finally, I can start making real money and get out of this shitty little apartment. Maybe I can get Hazel out too. Although she seems to be just fine back home. But, she’s not an outcast. Copyright ©️ 2026 Miss L Writes and Ember Mantel ProductionsI can’t really complain, I could be out on the streets. It’s been a good apartment. A tiny little bedroom that holds a twin bed I got from the landlord, with a closet vomiting the ten outfits I own. A bathroom where you have to walk in and stand next to the toilet in order to close the door to be able to get into the stall shower behind it, but it always has hot water. And a living room kitchen combo that is only separated by the loveseat, the biggest piece of furniture in here. No table or chairs would fit. I have never had an issue Dom can’t fix, and he’s taken good care of all the college kids tha
