Ruztom stared. “Damn…” Even after all these years, watching lycans transform still felt brutal up close. Then the final signal appeared. The fortress gates opened. Every warrior shifted at once. The field exploded with beasts. Massive forms surged forward through smoke and fire. Claws tore into dirt. Fangs gleamed beneath flames.

He instantly mindlinked Zora, who was racing ahead of him, to come back—something was happening to him. Zora refused, initially thinking he wanted to call her back so that she wouldn't risk her life. ‘Zora!’ He growled at her through the mindlink, and she instantly turned back to check on him. Trent fell to his knees. Despite the pain he felt, he still mindlinked the warriors at the eastern border to be alert—if intruders were truly coming, they would likely attack from there. Zora shifted back to human form. She noticed Trent was shifting and that there was a war between him and his wolf.

The movement range of his legs shrank before their eyes, until they were utterly immobilized. Even raising a finger became agonizingly impossible.

Ferris asked darkly raising the eyebrow. Hazel bit her lips before she looked straight in his eyes, saying, “yes, you are beast. My loving beast.”
