With a violent twist, Tressa broke free, stumbling back as she coughed, her fingers traced over her throat, her breathing ragged. Liam staggered slightly, his hand pressing against his side where blood began to seep through his shirt but his gaze never left her, his fury burning even brighter. “Still standing?” Tressa rasped, wiping the corner of her mouth “Good, this will be fun” she said as she nodded at a guard standing behind Liam, who instantly stepped forward and placed power sealing bracelet. Inside was a black-and-white thread bracelet. “This is my first gift to you,” she said, gesturing for my hand. I extended it hesitantly, and she slipped the bracelet onto my wrist. “It may look simple, but it’s not,” she added as if reading my thoughts. “It’s enchanted. It will suppress your powers to ensure you don’t hurt anyone by accident.” I sighed inwardly, forcing another smile. “I love it,” I lied. “Never take it off. No matter what,” she warned sternly.

"Let me hold onto it for now, give your wrist some air. You can have it back whenever you want to wear it." She looked at the redness on her wrist, then nodded. "That makes sense," she said. I pressed a kiss to her temple, quick and easy, told her I would find her after class, and left. In the corridor I turned the bracelet over in my fingers and looked at it properly in the light. Pretty. Harmless looking. Exactly the kind of thing someone would give to a girl they were trying to befriend. I didn't have proof of intent yet. What I had was a bracelet infused with wolfsbane and a girl who had handed it over with a smile and called it a welcome gift, sitting in a group of people who trusted he

But, given the bracelet's incredible power, he did not hesitate and immediately exchanged them for the Golden Dragon Bracelet. Wilbur examined the Golden Dragon Bracelet's properties and found that it could only activate the Golden Dragon Shield once per day. However, even with just one use, it was more than enough for Wilbur, considering he was still in middle dimensions. After taking a couple of glances at the bracelet, his chest heaved with excitement. Once he calmed himself, Wilbur turned his attention back to

The bracelets looked like ordinary beads, but if she said they worked, I believed her. “Why were you among the sacrificial?” I asked the Sheriff, my gaze piercing. He didn’t answer, staring at the ground. The silence was thick with tension until Jade placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. “Don’t push him,” she urged.
